Description This deep-treatment hair conditioning mask is designed to be used once a week to moisturize
dry, thirsty hair with a sunflower-oil based conditioner and natural oils.

Procedure 1. Charge Deionized Water to a container with mixing and heating properties. Begin to mix.
2. Charge Natrosol™ 250 HHR CS and mix until homogenous. Heat to 70-75ºC (158-167ºF).
3. Add STEPANQUAT® HELIA and mix until homogenous.
4. Add HallStar® CO1895 Stearyl Alcohol NF, HallStar® CO-1695 Cetearyl Alcohol NF,
STEPAN-MILD® GCC, Borage and Argan Oils. Mix for 30 minutes.
5. While mixing, cool to 45ºC (113ºF).
6. In a separate beaker, dissolve Potassium Chloride in Deionized Water. Add to batch with mixing.
7. While mixing, add Vitamin E, Witch Hazel and Chamomile Flower Extracts.
7. Adjust the pH for a target of 3.5-4.5 with Citric Acid or Sodium Hydroxide solutions.
8. While mixing, cool to room temperature.
9. Add Fragrance and Preservative, as desired.

Instructions Use once a week as a deep conditioning treatment. After shampooing, generously apply to wet
for Use hair, concentrating on ends and roots. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Stepan surfactants used in this formulation. Other ingredients were not evaluated.
