Pile Group Settlement Analysis Methods

This document presents two methods for estimating pile group settlement amplification factors (Ras). The first method, by Comodromos and Bareka (2009), estimates Ras as 4.67 for a 3x3 pile group with a normalized center-to-center pile spacing of 3 based on normalized single pile settlement of 0.05. The second method, by Randolph and Clancy (1993), estimates Ras as 3.02 for a pile group with 42 piles, 3.75m spacing, and 20m length based on a formula relating Ras to the number of piles, pile spacing, and length.
