My Holy Week Reflection and Experience

I spent my Holy Week bonding with family, watching movies about Jesus's passion and death, and going to church. I reflected on Jesus's sacrifice for our sins and how grateful I am for what he did. I realized that even when I feel alone or misunderstood, Jesus is there for me. His presence and sacrifices help me overcome difficulties and feel blessed despite life's imperfections.

How did I spend my Holy Week?

Holy week is the most definite sacred time of the year in which remembers and reminds the
people of the week of Jesus life on earth. It also reminds us of how Jesus sacrificed and died
himself for the sake of our sins and to save all of us. These are the days that the Easter Feast
takes place. Holy week starts on the Date April 14th (Sunday) to April 20th (Saturday), when these
weeks started, my family and I take this as a chance to have a bond together since holy week is
the one of the only moment that we can spare our quality time together as one and as a family.
We spend our holy week with pure joy and gladness in our hearts in which we all know that this
day will be the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In spending this particular event, we
watched the passion of Christ movie and going to Church because it remembers in a special way
of the death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. So in the movie the passion of Christ, I
could really say that this movie is a heart devastating type of movie, I have witnessed between
these two naked eyes of mine on how did Jesus suffered and sacrificed his very own life for us
because we are all sinners and we will always be a sinner. Before I discuss that, I should
probably first state “How did you spent your holy week?” so how did I myself spent my holy
week? Well it is very simple; first, I’ve been spending my holy week doing my work out to make
my body physically fit. Second, I spent some of my time playing my favorite sports and lastly,
spending my time by of course hanging out with my family and friends but most importantly,
listening to the word and even the worship songs of the Lord through live stream and in the
television. I somehow used some of the time to finish my school works and having a rosary
prayer for my Lola’s 1st death anniversary. And also, I do fasting as a symbol of respect to Jesus.
It is also the time where we will be focused of Jesus and his death. Without involving anything,
just Jesus.
I appreciate what Jesus did. I really can’t imagine him sacrificing myself and die in a way
that he can save us from our sins. Until I realized that Jesus was really there, and will be there for
me. Because in times of troubles and needs, I can freely talk to him through prayers and
honestly, it makes my heart and myself feeling getting better. Because these past few days, I felt
like being lonely, sad and empty. I have that kind of feeling of being alone, no one’s like to be
with me and friends with me, and thinking that no one’s going to understand me. But I was really
wrong. I may not see him through my naked eyes, but I feel him. I feel his presence everywhere.
I was really wrong, I thought I will never have someone but I already have Jesus. I thought I lose
everything but I have Jesus. Sometimes, I was the one who didn’t notice Jesus’ presence and his
sacrifices for me and for all of the people. But sometimes, I spend some of my time laying on my
bed thinking anything that comes to my mind until it starts me thinking on how lucky and
blessed I am to have my family, friends and even Jesus. I was overwhelmed like I want to scream
on how blessed I am and yell to the world how I exactly feel. Because honestly, I really don’t
know what life would be without Jesus, saving our sins. I couldn’t imagine my life and myself if
Jesus wasn’t there for me. because honestly, I hurt myself whenever I feel like I don’t have any
worth. I hurt myself and make myself isolated to the people I loved and cared. And to the people
who are really important to me and has a great impact into my life. Holy week really makes me
getting better and better and it reminds me to be a good person. Because yes, I am suffering like
Jesus too and I know how it really feels. Yes, I have lots of problems that only few people can
listen and understand. Yes, I have lots of attitudes that people couldn’t handle any longer. Yes, I
have this flaws and imperfections of mine in which only few people can see and will do
appreciate it. But all of this flaws and imperfections that I had, is that it makes my life almost
perfect because I have my savior Jesus inside my heart. My life may be messy and full of
darkness but there’s one thing that I am sure of. And that is I have Jesus in me. I have him with
me whom I can trust on, and I can express my feelings. Yes, sometimes life is unfair, because we
experience pain. But I can say that the world itself is fair, really. Because like Jesus, we are all
experiencing pain and unfairness in life.
We should always pray, thank and appreciate what Jesus did. We should also appreciate
and respect our parents because our parents are heroes just like Jesus. Yes, we may hurt and give
pain to our parents but they are suffering and in pain too. Yes, we may hurt our friends and loved
ones but they are suffering too. Sometimes, we hurt people because of our emotions. Sometimes
we even hurt ourselves more even if we are already in pain. But we can’t really blame ourselves
by feeling those kind of pain and whatever because we are only all a human being, who can
make and commit mistakes. Who would even be happy when someone is suffering, right? Pain
is part of our lives. Pain in the essential part of life. We learned and we will be forever learning
and discovering something inside us and something that we didn’t even discovered yet. Things
may be difficult and hard to face. Things may put people tired and exhausted, but remember, we
should always put and surrounds ourselves in many positivity’s and of course by putting Jesus
in hearts. But always bare this in mind that whatever difficulties and trial we will face and
going through, as long as we feel and have Jesus with us in our heart, Life will be so very
perfect. It will be and it will always be perfect if we only look beyond of its imperfections.
