WORKPLAN for In-Service Training
SY 2011–2012

I. Introduction
“We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty”. This joint values advocacy
movement of the JCI Senate Philippines, Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on
Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA),
Office of the Presidential Assistant for Education (OPAE) and Education Related Organizations
aimed to inculcate to the Filipino youth the values of Punctuality and Honesty in the
development and productivity of our nation. This is the reason why we, teachers of
Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) Boys Department of Cagayan National High
School, support this advocacy by serving as role models to our students.
Hence, this coming In-Service Training, the department will discuss ways to be prompt
in submitting requirements like test questions and grades, and present the different laws of
Graft and Corruption in the school setting. In so doing, we, teachers are advocating time
consciousness and honesty in our profession; hence becoming role models to our clienteles.

II. Rationale
This year’s In-Service training focuses on two topics: (a) Review of Course Content,
Construction of Table of Specification and Test Questions, Computerization of Grades and (b)
Anti-Graft and Corruption Policies. Part of 21st Century Education is the introduction of
advanced technology such as the use of computers in the school. It was believed and proven
that computers can aid people do their tasks effectively in a shorter span of time compared
when the task is done manually, the traditional way.
The presentation and discussion of the Anti-Graft and Corruption Policies will remind
the teachers about transparency and honesty, thus, this training is given to exhibit the value
of integrity among teachers.

III. Objectives
This In-Service training aims to:
1. introduce Microsoft Office Excel Program in constructing Table of Specification;
2. improve the quality of test items;
3. present a Microsoft Office Excel Program in the computation of students’ grades; and
4. strengthen the awareness of teachers about Graft and Corruption in the school
setting.

IV. Presenters and Facilitators
