Theoretically, the first major theme implies that the participant prioritize her business-

related activities and her non-business and academic related activities at the same time by

doing the things necessary her their business first before doing anything else. Then, the

concept of the true student entrepreneur is relatively new and attracting societal and academic

attention.

Practically, the participant shows us that doing business while studying takes a lot of

energy, time, and patience. But, when you learnt how to balance your time in academics and

businesses. You will be able to be a positive thinker especially when it comes to business.

The findings derive teaching strategies for an entrepreneurship course centered at a target-

shooting curriculum template and a teaching model for entrepreneurship.


As presented in the findings, all of entrepreneurial characteristics are important for

students who had been undergoing new business. The entrepreneurial characteristics of

internal locus of control, risk taking propensity and tolerance for ambiguity are more

important for students to establish a new business. To become an entrepreneur, an individual

must have three skill groups, namely entrepreneurship skills, management skills and technical

skills (Cooney, 2012).

In this study, we, the researchers have discovered that student entrepreneurs have

common management practices, strategies, and ways to overcome challenges regardless of

the unit that they belong to. The interview done to the participant made us realize that

committing in a business is hard because of being a student at the same time. But when we

turn problems into motivations and inspirations, it will be easy for us to balance or handle our

business.
In the findings, the participant’s mindset were aligned in the business even though she

is still young. Her parents did not become a problem for her to run a business, and also her

course Engineering was not an obstacle to her. As a result, she maintain being a business

minded student or what we called Student Entrepreneur.

It became an instrument for us to see the other side of the coin for us to evaluate our

own management techniques and skills. It shows the deep understanding of how the student

entrepreneurs overcome the struggles they had. It also said that Entrepreneurship is the act of

creating a business or businesses while building and scaling it to generate a profit.
