SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:-
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:-

Explain the meanings of the new words learned

Class can you tell me what do you understand what is written on the
board? What do you think it is?
Yes, that is correct. Now class why do you think a prayer is
important? Why do we need to pray? Why do our parents tell us to
pray for something?
Good enough.
Just like the prayers each of us do. One of India’s prominent
freedom fighters and renowned poet and lyricist also had a prayer
for India before India gained independence from the British Raj.
Do you know who I am talking about?
Also, tell me which year did India gain independence?
Yes, absolutely correct!

Today we will study about the prayer in the form of a poem which Rabindranath Tagore wrote for his country people before India’s
independence.
