SUMMARY: Provide friendly & responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our guests. You main
aim is to create an amazing experience for our guests so they will return promptly.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
Welcome & greet guests at the door, make them feel comfortable & welcome
Show them to their table
Inform guests for specials & menu changes
Answer questions about our food & beverages and other restaurant functions and services. (Speak to the
manager or chef for questions you cannot answer – DON’T bullshit)
Take food and drinks orders from guests and relay to the kitchen and bar
Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen and bar in a timely manner
Pay attention to the kitchen bell (we ding if for a good reason)
Perform sidework at the start and end of each shift as required
Make sure condiment holders are taken to the tables with the appropriate condiments for your order
Maintain clean & tidy service areas
Monitor and observe guests experience. Ensure the guests are satisfied with food and service. Respond
promptly and courteously to requests
Prepare final bill, present to guest, accept payment (process credit card or make change if needed)
Clear and reset tables once guest has left or as needed.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
Keep the ENDEARMINTS very well hidden from walkby raiding by staff
Be available to fill in other positions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager / chef
Table decor Saturday morning and Monday or Tuesday
Know the menu and procedures within two weeks of starting.
Requirements:
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
Must possess basic knowledge of diningroom service procedures
Possess basic maths skills and be able to handle money
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Be able to safely lift and manuever trays of food weighing up to 12 kg
