WebSphere that replaced Legacy Mainframe Systems handling multiple states Pharmacy
Benefits Management needs. States supported are Montana, New York, Ohio, Maryland,
New Mexico, Hawaii for their Medicaid program
Includes POS Engine to handle real-time switch vendor based & batch pharmacy claims
adjudication coming in every millisecond all over the states and Web component that does
claim processing/adjudication through Front-end Web application. The claim adjudication
request can either come directly from any pharmacy within the state through swit c h vendors
as NCPDP request or as Web request. Both the forms of requests finally reach the POS
engine to perform claims adjudication based on the State Government’s business rules for
the respective Medicaid customers
Provided technical guidance to team to help configure Jetty Server for local DEV environment s
to avoid slowness due to configuring heavy weight IBM WAS in local machines. A lso helped
configure Jetty to include JUnits to make sure team gets their code unit tested during
development process
