PREFACE
Thank God Almighty for giving me His blessings for completing this English
assignment about the review of the film entitled "Tangled – Rapunzel”.
I also want to convey the aims and objectives of writing this paper. This paper
contains film reviews from all aspects of assessment both from the composition
of the plot, the content of the story, and some conflict resolution to the message
that the audience wishes to convey. The purpose of this writing is that readers of
this paper can find out film reviews briefly and clearly, not only advantages but
there are deficiencies in the film that I wrote.
Hopefully this article can provide clear information to readers to find out the
movie reviews that I discussed.

Definition of Review Text
Review text is an evaluation of a publication, such as a movie, video
game, musical composition, book; a piece of hardware like a car, home
appliance, or computer; or an event or performance, such as a live music
concert, a play, musical theatre show or dance show.
Generic Structure of Review Text
- Orientation : Background information of the text.
- Evaluations : Concluding statement : judgement, opinion, or
recommendation. It can consist ot more than one.
- Interpretative Recount : Summary of an art works including character
and plot.
- Evaluative Summation : The last opinion consisting the appraisal or the
punch line of the art works being criticized.
Purpose of Review Text
Review text is used to critic the events or art works for the reader or
listener, such as movies, shows, book, and others.

– Focus on specific participants
– Using adjectives
– Using long and complex clauses

EXAMPLE OF REVIEW TEXT
Tangled is a musical animated film produced by Walt Disney Animation
Studios. The film was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, produced
by Roy Conli, John Lasseter, and Glen Keane. While the screenplay was written
by Dan Fogelman. The film released on November 17, 2010 in France and
popular since that time. The story is adapted from the fairy tale Germany titled
"Rapunzel" by Brothers Grimm.
The story of Tangled almost the same with Rapunzel’s story that has long
been known by the society. The difference is there's not a prince in this story.
There is only a handsome criminal named Flynn Ryder who accidentally
walked into a tower where Rapunzel lived. Rapunzel lives in the Tower since
the baby after kidnapped by Mother Gothel. In fact, Rapunzel’s parents was a
king and a queen of a kingdom. Mother Gothel kidnap Rapunzel to harness the
power of magical Rapunzel’s hair to let her stay young.
Rapunzel forces Flynn to take her out of the tower and go to see the royal
festival held by the King and the Queen to commemorate the loss of their
daughter. Of course, it made Rapunzel was very pleased. However, the pleasure
turned into adventure when Flynn and Rapunzel pursued by people who want to
capture Flynnan and the efforts of Mother Gothel for getting Rapunzel again.
A fairy tale like this maybe very common and too easy to guess. But, the
description of the characters in this film was able to make interesting and Flynn
Rider make me fall in love. Because of his handsome and also difficult to
guess, he also like stocking charm. The animators was able to create a very
beautiful environment. I am very impressed with the scene when rapunzel and
Flynn was in the lake filled with lanterns. It's amazing.
The plot of this film contains various scenes that are fresh, funny, and
very entertaining the audience. Although, the film is too segmented to be
enjoyed by adults, but director and author were able to make the film is quite
able to be enjoyed by an children, adolescents, and adults.
CONCLUSION
So, the review of the film "Tangled – Rapunzel" is about the figure of a
beautiful princess cared for by a witch who intends evil to deliberately snatch a
baby from the kingdom to take strands of her hair when she was grown so that
the witch lives young.
The reason I wrote the review so that readers know what the actual content of
the film fits my point of view.
