People say that day dreaming is the wastage of time and students are
often discouraged from dreaming but I personally believe that dreaming is
at the very heart of innovation and invention. It is my dream to work as a
medical professional.
There are several reasons why I began to take interest in medical studies.
The first reason, I had an interest in this specialty from the young age at
school. As I remember, I loved the lessons of Biology. Biology being one of
the most interesting subjects was the most favorite of mine. I took much
interest in human body anatomy, its different systems and emotions.
Science is fascinated to me with its secrets. The science of Biology
explains what we see every day, but we do not know what lies inside of it
and what causes its abnormalities. I wanted to learn more and more how it
operates. The second reason, why I became interested in this specialty is
my belief. I believe that if you are doing only what everyone does, you
never do anything special in life. I want to help my patients in vanishing
their pain as soon as possible and the only way I can do that is after
becoming a part of medical professional.
So medical profession became my first and utmost soul priority and I have
put all my efforts and energy to accomplish it.I passed my school with the
full devotion and hard work and I was among the topers of my class in
School. I was motivated and guided by my family and teachers to study at
a good College where I easily got admission because of my great
education background and my interest in Science. After finishing my
college I applied for my medical studies in China and I choose Hebei
United University and I completed my Undergraduate Studies in July
2012.
Here I studied in the best atmosphere and community of 32 different
countries people which gave me experience of community life and a lot
of confidence in life. Here it is safe, pleasant environment, active and
enthusiastic students’ life. In addition, it has an excellent academic

reputation of the university because it is focused on student success in
studies. Also, the vast majority of graduating students find good jobs and
further studies in future. I was an active somehow indulgent student among
others during my undergraduate studies. In fact, I was up to the mark and
was honored with master degree scholarship later. If it is observed by the
meritorious efforts I remain very competent and I passed all tests
conducted by the academic institution with high achievements.
Thriving on what I consider to be one of the greatest challenges of
medicine, I have grown comfortable and confident speaking to patients
and their families at times in their lives when they often feel panic and
helplessness.
I got one year clinical experience during my Internship at Bahawal
Victoria Hospital,Bahawalpur,Pakistan where I did learn in;
Assisting the senior doctors in treating the patients.
Diagnosing the disease as per the symptoms.
Observing and performing the physical examination of patients.
Learning the diagnostic methods and equipments usage.
Periodically meeting the patients and observing their
improvements and making reports.
In case of emergency giving the basic treatment to the
patients. Helping other medical staff in performing their duties.
My interest in science and research adds to my fascination of a
career in Medicine.
I worked in Social Security Hospital for almost a year after getting my
MBBS degree as a general physician where i experienced the talent in
clinical skills and theoretical knowledge in the doctors of Pakistan but they
could not deliver that to save the lives of patients and improve their life
standards. It is happening there due to the lack in medical

management in the community and in hospitals which is well practiced
here in China hospitals and in community level.
I got Scholarship for masters in general surgery in 2014 which was my
priority to work with. I learnt operative skills in the operation
room,worked in out patient department to get knowledge of physical
examination. I also worked with my research paper on;
Clinical Controlled Trial Treating Cholecystolithiasis and
Choledocholith between two microinvasive surgical methods
and expecting to be awarded with the degree for my master studies. During
my experience working in Chinese hospitals i got inspired with the
management skills in the hospitals. The way how it is managed in
accordance of medicines, diseases outbreak and in case of any disaster or
emergency conditions. Even work with all aspects of community medicine.
After all my experience in previous years during my stay in China relative
to Pakistan, which strongly diverted my attention towards public

prolonging life and promoting health through organized efforts and
informed choices of society, organizations, public and private,
communities and individuals." It is concerned with threats to health based
on population health analysis.
The focus of public health intervention is to improve health and quality of
life through prevention and treatment of disease and other physical and
mental health conditions. This is done through surveillance of cases and
health indicators, and through promotion of healthy behaviors. Examples
of common public health measures include promotion of hand washing,
breastfeeding, delivery of vaccinations, and distribution of condoms to
control the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
PROPOSED PLAN FOR STUDY
Modern public health practice requires multidisciplinary teams of public
health workers and professionals including physicians specializing in
public health/community medicine/infectious disease, psychologists,
epidemiologists, biostatisticians, medical assistants or Assistant Medical
Officers, public health nurses, midwives, medical microbiologists,
environmental health officers / public health inspectors, pharmacists,
dental hygienists, dietitians and nutritionists, veterinarians, public health
lawyers, sociologists, community development workers, communications
experts, bioethicists, and others.
There is a great disparity in access to health care and public health
initiatives between developed nations and developing nations. In the
developing world, public health infrastructures are still forming. I look
forward now with lots of ideas in research department,writing and critical
appraisal from my professors and peers alike.
I am seeking a position for scholarship in Phd Degree Program in
Hepatobiliary department at your prestigious University under you
supervision.
My objectives of joining your postgraduate training program in your
university are clear. I want to acquire competence in Hepatobiliary surgery
and acquire it in-depth. I want to hone my intellectual faculties; to ask
questions fearlessly and seek answers with persistence; to develop
individuality and conviviality and to learn for collective good. I can achieve
these goals only in the best environment. I have strong feeling that I would
get better chances of refreshing and improving my knowledge with the help
of your guidance. It is a profession of lifelong learning and training, and
research is the key, finding solutions to health problems and setting
standards of care and disease prevention for our patient population are

ethic, a sense of humor and the ability to perform under pressure and
adapt.
Now the question arises, “Why China?” Reading the books, watching the
news, analyzing and observing the people of China, I am really impressed
by the way these individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to
their work and with true efforts they have set in China as a successful
example for other third world or developed countries. The fast growing
economy, technological advancement and the global ranking education
institutes of China with high reputation makes a great aspiration to the
students and professionals for the better career perspectives. Thus such
kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly
satisfied with the decision I have taken. Moreover, China’s diverse cultural
norms and values, the famous gentle hospitality of its people and Pakistan-
China friendly relations since past to promote bilateral trade , acceptance
and peace to both sides in great clarity make me feel China as my second
homeland. My family fully supports my choice for China being my
preference for postgrads studies. All these reasons put together make
China as an ideal place for me to continue my studies.
