Activity Title Observance of the National Children’s Month
Date (MM/DD/YYYY) 12/24/2018 Venue HANOPOL NORTE, BALILIHAN,
BOHOL
Rationale:
In pursuant to the Republic Act 10661, otherwise known as the “National Children's Month Act”,
specifically, thereof, the barangay shall conduct an annual activity during the Month of November, to be known
as the Observance of the National Children's Month.
Whereof, this year's observance was a one day activity participated by children in the Barangay ages 1
to 10 years old consist of Feeding Program, Film Showing, and Gift Giving. And due to conflict of schedules,
the activity was scheduled on December 24, 2018. Promoting the Every month is Children’s Month.
Hence, the Sangguniang Kabataan officials together with other Youth Volunteers conducted the
annual activity known as the Observance of National Children's Month on December 24, 2018 Saturday 7:00
am to 4:00 pm at the Barangay Hall Compound, Hanopol Norte, Balilihan, Bohol.
Objective/s:
To encourage the children to become better citizens in the community
Awareness of the children in the Environmental Deterioration
How to prevent on destroying Mother Earth, on their own little ways
To train the Youth Leaders as Facilitators in this Activity and to develop their skills
Outputs of the activity:
The activity was successful. The SK Officials and youth volunteers were very cooperative conducting the activity.
Recommendation/Lessons Learned:
We can raise awareness even to the younger generation through simple ways for them to realize that they can help even in
their own little ways.
