 Assumptions

Region:
The road work is going to constructed in the region where the hilly region starts.
Strata:
The strata of the ground is assumed as soft Murum at 1.5 meter depth below the
ground [Link] hard rock followed.
Gradient:
Gradient is uneven so that suitable data regarding the R.L is assumed.
Water table:
Water table way below the ground(3.5meter).

 Scope –
1: The road provided should be feasible for transportation, safe, less maintenance,
and should be economic wrt. initial cost.
2: The road provided is estimated with design life of more than 20 years with high
quality of material.
3: The road should serve the purpose for which it is constructed.
 Rates –
Rates for each item of work are taken from DSR 2019-20 of Pune Division.
(Including Lead) & Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran DSR 2019-20.

 Data –
Data assumed regarding the profile, Design of pavement, Thickness of layers,
Specification, Rates, and other works is taken from Standard documents.

Road length : 25km. The estimation done for 120m stretch.


Sub-grade : Soft Murum followed by Hard murum
Gradient provided: Straight Camber 2% .
Drainage + shoulder provided( Details in Cross section).
