1) What can you tell me about yourself?

• Hi Sir/Mam, First of all thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself
in front of you.

• My name is Mohamad Imran B Mohd Aminuddin and I was born in Ipoh, Perak. I am living in
Tanjung Malim from 6 years old.

• I have qualification bachelor in civil engineering for upcoming next year. Before this I have
completed my graduation in Kedah Technical Matriculation college.

• There I worked for 10 weeks as Site Supervisor in a foundation & piling company named as Jack-
In-Pile (m) Sdn. Bhd. Also I’m doing my part time job when Sem Break as waiter and admin at
restaurant D’Pantai Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan.

2) Can you list your strength/weakness

• My strength are I am hardworking, good learner, self-motivated. I have convincing skills in


AutoCAD, Basic Staadpro and Esteem to design something in future.

• My weakness are I mean very poor in English basically in grammar portion but I’m still practice
using it as my second language so that I can improve my communication skills with other and
normally I can’t tell no if anyone ask for help.

3) What your goals?

• My short term goal is to get a job in a reputed company like yours to improve my knowledge
and build my career in this engineering field.

• My major goal is to be in that position where I will be making the important decisions for the
company and long term goal is I am one of the reason in organization grow.

4) What do you enjoy most/least about engineering?

• Engineering projects require a lot of logical and analytic thinking to solve problems that occur
on the job.

• When engineering project get off track, they cost your organization a lot of time, money and
other resources.

• To avoid the problem, I should use the error-checking features in my engineering solution to
double check measurement and other math that I included. I also get another set of eyes on my
work, especially if I’m rushing to meet deadlines.

5) Where do you see yourself ten years from now?

• well, I’m really excited by this position at PKNS Engineering & Construction Berhad

• because in 5 year I’d like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in the construction sector,
and I know something that I’ll have an opportunity to do here.

• I’m also really excited to take on more managerial responsibilities in the next few years and
potentially even take the lead on some projects.

• I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing managers, and so developing into a great
manager myself is something I’m really excited about.
6) Describe the most challenging

• During my internship, I was asked to research about broken pile because it was happened on
site.

• I did the research to assemble a report that was similar in content and structure.

• Ofcourse, broken pile will affect the building structure and give high risk to residents.

• The are several ways to manage the broken pile which is evacuate the broken pile or do some
test on it like PDA, MLT and PIT to make sure it is broken or not.

• The most suitable way is add more point of pile nearby the broken pile to remain safety and
strong enough to support thousand tons load of the building.

7) How do you keep yourself organized?

• I’m a very punctual and organized person. When I was in matriculation, I also worked part-time
and staying organized was critical to make sure I did well at college and met the commitments of
my job.

• I like to use Excel to create project schedules, and my phone calendar keeps me on track.

8) Can you describe a situation where you dealt with a difficult client?

• When I was a summer intern, I didn’t do a lot of engineering work, but I did do a lot of contract
preparation.

• There was a difficult client who kept pushing back on the contract terms, and this was delaying
the project.

• After a few emails and phone calls were exchanged, I asked the client to come in and meet with
the project team and me.

• I thought a face-to-face meeting would help diffuse the situation and reassure the client that we
wanted to make them happy. It worked, and we were able to move forward.

9) Why are you interested in a position with our company?

• I want to work for this company because of your commitment to diversity. As a minority, working
for a company that values all types of people and experience is important to me.

10) Why should we select you for this position?

• I have a great foundation of technical skills that I would bring to the role along with my drive
and work ethic.

• I’m also great with people and am confident I would easily fit in to the organization and
contribute to your strong workplace culture
