The lesson that stays with me forever

My parents always told me never to do things that are bad even little the small things that
are considered bad. I never believed them and I would go and do it but what I didn't realize is
that all those bad things come back for you.
In my freshman year of highschool I would do good in school and didn’t do much trouble
but as soon as I started making friends that’s when the bad things started to happen. I didn’t
usually go out and hangout with friends after school but this is when the trend of riding fixed
gear bikes started to rise. So my parents bought me a bike so I can get to school and also ride
with my friends. The more I started to ride I ride i got addicted to it and would want to keep
being out the house. One day I decided to go out with my friends and ride around the
neighborhood and try to have a good time. We would race to places to see who would get there
first and all of us would try our hardest to get there first. Most of us who were racing wanted to
get there first so we took shortcuts and were cutting cars off and talking back to them. I also
decided to cut off a car and talk back them because they were almost about to hit me but I didn’t
know that i was wrong the whole time and i shouldn’t have cut him off because that person
started to chase us through the streets and was trying to his us because he was that we were in his
way.
As I started to process in my head what was going on I realized that me and my friends
were the ones that were wrong the whole time. They still kept trying to mess with the guy by
swerving in front of him and the guy got mad and stopped at a red light to get out of his trunk a
bat and he smashed my friends bike for messing with him and hitting his car while riding next to
him. The lesson that I learned here was to never miss with people if they didn’t do anything to
you because if you were to do something to them that can come back to you and you don’t know
if it’ll be sooner or later.
A related situation that happened to me was towards the end of sophomore year when I
had just got my driving permit and started to drive. One day I decided that I was going to take
my dad’s car to a friends house to go hangout with them but in reality none of that happened.
What I decided to do was go and pick up my friends and go ride around and see what we do.
Towards the end of the day when i was on my way to go drop off my friends I had a feeling that
something bad was going to happen and what do you know, I was right. As soon as i dropped off
my last friend I started to make my way home and as soon as I come out their alley I hit my car
and another car and the first thought that came up to my head was my parents telling me,” don’t
have no one in the car because you don’t know what can happen”. This is why I know always
think before I do something because if I chose the wrong path then it can lead me to something
worse that will get me in trouble or can effect me in my future life and that is the one lesson that
stuck with me since i started to realize that bad things that can happen.
