Did you know that all forms of media portrays gender in stereotypical ways.

Alam mo ba na lahat ng porma ng media ay naglalarawan ng lalait ng kasarian sa ibang paraan.

Let’s look at it deeper!

Magtingan tayo nang malalim!

From where we see in media, all genders portray the characteristics and habits of one person.

Sa mga nakita natin sa media lahat ng kasarian ay naglalarawan sa katangian at gawa ng isang tao.

However, we must examine the gender characteristics of each one before we dive in to gender
portrayal in media.

Ngunit, magtignan tayo sa katangian ng kasarian sa bawat isa bago magtignan sa linalarawan ng kasarian
sa media.

These are the typical characteristics that each gender as. Then comes the inevitable, gender bias.

Iyan ang mga tipikal na katanigan na bawat na linalarawan ng bawat kasarian. Ngayon, nasa hinding
maiiwasan ng konseptong, bias ng kasarian.

Gender bias is a perspective of a person favoring one. Usually, gender bias people are labeled as
sexists.

We have seen each portrays and how each person is biased towards a parituclar gHowever, why is
media stereotyping each gender. And why is it that we is it wired in our minds? Well, let’s look at it!

Ngunit, bakit linalait ng media sa bawat kasarian. At bakit yan ay nakaprograma sa utak natin. Ngayon,
tignan natin!

Main arguments and evidence:


From where we can see, TV Shows, commercials, movies, and magazines are portrayed traditionally
based from their gender. Each is stereotyped depending on the context. Each form of media has its
own flare.

Mula sa nakita naming, palabas sa TV, mga komersyal, pelikula, at magasin ay naglalarawan base sa
kasarian nila. Bawat ay naglalait ayon sa konteksto. Bawat porma ng media ay may trip nila.

Conclusion

Let’s highlight from what we have so far: gender portrayal in the media has its own stereotypes and
biases. Each form of media has its own flare and usage in terms of context. And finally, the solutions for
a gender-neutral society.

What does this have relevance in society, we are living in an inequal society where traditional roles are
still present and each of the three are still maintaining their roles from their respective gender. Media is
portrayed in all spheres of life. However, each of these solutions may or not be feasible, but from what
it is worth, we can live in an ideal gender-neutral society. Equality is the road to harmony and peace.

One final statement before we conclude. “Bored of the old roles, share the roles. Watch them and see.”
