1: status of women A: View I. In Quetta the status of women is
in Quetta still same, it will change with the
progress in education and other
fields of life.
Reason I. Male dominancy is also one of
the reason behind this situation
and the indicator of development
is very low.
2: Social barriers B: View I. There are massive barriers faced
faced by women in by women in Quetta. It has tribal

factor behind this issue. People in
Quetta are the blind followers of
fake Mullahs.

3: Political C: View I. There is no space in politics for
deprivation of women in Quetta. It is just show
women in Quetta off of the political parties they
bring female in forefront but in
reality, they do nothing for
women empowerment and
political mobilization.
II. Female MPA’s are not able to
make any legislation for the

They are just used as political
puppets

empowerment is a slow process

1: status of women A: View I. Female have no equal freedom in
in Quetta Baluchistan.
II. Quetta is male dominant society. People
living in Quetta are conservative and
they have tribal mind set such as
Pashtuns and Baloch’s. They follow the
instructions of their tribal leader’s
compulsory.
III. It is now seen that female are being
educated. They are being given a proper
and in-discriminated education which
can be helpful in any field of life.
I. People started visiting another province
and are much influenced from their
social and educational environment, they
also trying to do the same.

1: Status of Women A: View I. She was disagreed with the point that
in Quetta earlier women were not considered equal
to men. With the increasing rate of
population, the mind set of people is
changing.
II. The males are dominating now and they
got the superiority. Males considers and
made women vulnerable.
III. The current society is not allowing their
female to come forward because it hurts
the ego of men when they see women are
leading them.

IV. with time small population have changed
their mindset in our society and are
encouraging their female. However,
majority are still with the mindset that
female should not be empowered. In
urban areas of Quetta people like
education for their daughters but the
opposite is the case for rural areas.
V. Some people in Quetta do not prefer to
be fathers of a girl child. Still such kind
of people with ignorant mind set consider
girls useless and shame for them.
Reason I. Ignorance is the main reason.
II. We are not following Islam in a real
meaning that is also one of the reason.
III. Negative role of parents when they
discriminate between boy and girl.
IV. Inherently patriarchal mindset of family
leader who prefer boy for any job and not
giving opportunity to girl.
2: Social barriers A: View I. People have made culture as a boundary
confronted by by which no one can be crossed

conservative approach towards their girls
they don’t like their females to be an

approach is the reason that is why female
are facing culture and social barriers in
Quetta.
3: Political A: View I. She said women are immensely deprived
deprivation of in politics. There is done nothing for
Women in Quetta political mobilization of women in
Quetta. Women in Baluchistan assembly
are just brought by the parties for their
popularity. Or their relatives bring them
in front for the sake of corruption
II. When there is a time of election they add
in their manifestos empowering and
mobilizing women but in reality, they do
nothing.
III. Rahila Durrani she it is achievement that
she became the first female speaker in
the history of Baluchistan.

1: Status of Women A: View I. There is no change yet but education is
in Quetta spreading now. Women in tribal areas of
Baluchistan suffer more hurdles to come
ahead and indeed contribute in some
work.

their homes.
III. Khans, Nawabs and Sardar’s
intentionally and knowingly remained
their people ignorant. They remained
their areas undeveloped so that people
could not stand in their ways.

positive role for development of their
