0 Introduction

The development of technology is fast, people now a day rely on technology

because it makes our work become easy. Technology provides the benefit to improve our

work from good to best. One of common technology we use is the computer were we can

use it in our study. We can also use computer in enrolling. This computerized enrollment

system will help not just only the user but the student as well to save time and effort

when it comes to enrolling process.

1.1 Background of the Study

The Little Angels Learning Schools starts on 2004 with Pre-school to Grade 1. In

2005 the school recognized by Department of Education with Pre-school. After 3 years

the school grows and have their nursery to grade 3 because some of the students who is

studied there before, requested to have a higher level of grade school. After 3 years they

finally have their Pre-School to Elementary. The planned to have a high school but some

of their alumni wants to study in a big school. Year 2018 they have their grade 7 but now,

year 2019 they only have Pre-School to Elementary since the number of students who

enrolled in high school is little. Since then they only use traditional manual enrollment

process. The number of students in this year(2019) is ninety six(96) with only 1 section

for each year level(pre-school, kinder, gradeschool).

1.2 Overview of the Current State of the Technology

The Little Angels Learning Schools is using a manual enrollment system. The

enrollment period is first, the school admin will give an entrance exam for the enrollees.

Once they passed the entrance exam, the enrollees will give Baptismal, Birth certificate

Baptismal, Birth Certificate, Good Moral, Card and 2x2 Picture. After that, the School

admin will give a registration form to fill up by the enrollee. After the registration form

filled up, the school admin will discuss about the payments of the tuition fees. There are

two copies for payments, the student’s copy and the administration copy. The registration

form and administration copy filled up by the students, the school admin will put it into

201 file, which is the file cabinet. The owner of the school is the one who manages the

whole process of manual enrollment system together with her assistant. After the

enrollment period, the owner of the school will retrieve the records of the students from a

file cabinet for writing the class list on paper.

1.3 Statement of the Problem

1.3.1 General Problem

How to develop a computerized enrollment system to improve the current

enrolling system of Little Angels Learning School to be time efficient and effort

efficient

1.3.2 Specific Problem

 Retrieving data of student consumes a lot of time

Manual searching for student records in file cabinet full of

documents consumes a lot of time and effort

 Difficulty in making class list

tedious task and time consuming.

 Redundancy of typing information

Writing the same information by the enrollee in registration

and two copies of payment consumes time for the student.

 Monitoring of student account encounters delay

Creating another record for the student who lost their

records getting slower in updating and checking of student

records. Retrieving records consumes a lot of time.

1.4 Objective of the Study

1.4.1 General Objective

To develop computerized enrollment system to improve the current

enrolling system of the school to be time efficient and effort efficient

 To develop a computerized enrollment system that will easily store

and retrieve data.

 To develop a computerized enrollment system that will

automatically come out the information of the students from

registration to student list and class list.

update the record of the student with installment base payment.

Contain the vision and mission of the school and information about

Contain the process of registration of students or transferee in the

Contain the process were in the student enrolling with schedule.

Contain the process of paying bills and checking the requirements

that the students need to pass to be able to continue their studies in the

school.

 Class List Module

Contain a list of students that officially enrolled in the school and

the list of student each year level.

Contain the process of adding, deleting and updating for new or

old users.

1.5.2 Limitation

 Student has no access to the system, only the staff of the school.

 There is no online access.

 It can only record cash payments and cannot pay through credit cards.

1.6 Methodology of the Study

In this study, the software development life cycle will be the formal

method to be used. The following contains the specific approaches that may be employed

by the proponents in arriving at the realization of a solution to the problem.

When referring to the waterfall model in this article, I shall mean Royce's modified

version of Benington's cascade model. One aspect of the waterfall model is its

requirement for documentation . Royce suggested that at least six distinct types of

document be produced: 1) Requirements document during the requirements stage. 2)

Preliminary design specification during the preliminary design stage. 3) Interface design

specification during the design stage. 4) Final design specification that is actively revised

and updated over each visit of the design stage; this is further updated during the

development and validation stages. 5) Test plan during the design stage; this is later

instructions during the deployment stage. Quality assurance is built into the waterfall

model by splitting each stage in two parts: one part performs the work as the stage's name

suggests and the other validates or verifies it. For instance, the design stage incorporates

verification (to assess whether it is fit for purpose), the development stage has unit and

integration testing, and the validation stage contains system testing as its part and parcel.

1.7 Significance of the study

 Enrollment System

The enrollment system will help benefit to company, making the

enrollment process faster, efficient and reduce paper works.

 Enrollee

The enrollment system will help the enrollee for the faster enrollment

process.

 Cashier

The cashier will benefit to the system making the searching of payment

record faster and to records all the payments transaction.

 Registrar

Registration will benefit to the system making a faster register for

enrollee.

company, we have been encourage to study more about programing and sharping
