The Seek app by iNaturalist allows users to take pictures of organisms in their natural environment to identify them down to the species level. The app uses image recognition software to identify plants, animals, and fungi. It also connects users to the online iNaturalist community managed by the California Academy of Sciences and National Geographic. The document provides tasks for a diversity unit project using the Seek app to take 20 photos of organisms, identify them, confirm the identification, and create a PowerPoint presentation with information about each organism.
