Number of teams: 6
Number of Matches: 6
Number of Super Over Matches: 2 (To decide the Qualifier for Semi Final from losing sides)
As shown above each team will play one match. 4 teams will qualify for the Semi Final i.e. 3 winning
teams and 1 Qualifier.
Qualifier will decide through Super Over Matches
Note: Winner1 – Winning Team in first round with highest run rate Winner2 - Winning Team in first round with
2nd highest run rate Winner3 - Winning Team in first round with least run rate L1 – Losing Team in first round with
highest run rate L2 - Losing Team in first round with 2nd highest run rate L3 - Losing Team in first round with least
run rate
Run rate will be calculated by standard formula Example: Team 1 run rate = (team 1 score/no. of overs) – (team
2 score / no. of overs) If a team gets all out before the full 9 overs then the no. of overs will be still taken as 9.
Common Rules:
Next batsman should come on ground within 1 minute
Max of 11 Players from playing squad of team can bat
Max of 11 players of fielding side from playing squad of team from playing squad of team can be on the
field at a time. First set of 11 players appearing on field during bowling can only bowl. Replacement
players can’t bowl.
For Male Players Ball has to bowled only with a straight arm. If Umpire finds the action is illegal, then a
non-free hit No ball will be called. If two illegal deliveries are bowled in an over the team has to replace
the bowler and he won’t be allowed to bowl in the match again.
No Leg Bye runs will be accounted, but Bye Runs will be accounted
Each No ball i.e. Above waist or Overstepping will have a free hit
Runner is not allowed
Maximum one bouncer is allowed in an over, more than that will be considered as free hit No ball
If fielding rules are not followed, then a non-free hit No ball will be considered.
Batsman cannot be called back until and unless he is not injured
If Match get tied, Super Over rules come into action
Rules for all Matches except for Final Match:
Each innings will be of 9 overs per side
Each team has to complete its 9 overs in maximum of 40 minutes, after that each minute cost 1 run, any
unexpected incident will add 5 minutes
One over batting side power play and one over bowling side power play will be mandatory. Only 3
fielders allowed outside circle in power play
Only 3 bowlers are allowed to bowl maximum of 2 overs
Rules for Super Over:
Each innings will be of 1 over per side
Maximum of 4 batsmen can bat in Super Over. Example, If bowling team gets 3 wickets in 4 balls, batting
team innings is over.
All the common rules applicable for Super Over
No fielding restriction in Super Over, means Non-Power play rules will be applicable.
Special Rules for Female Player:
First over has to mandatorily be bowled by Female Player. Pitch size will be reduced to 18 yards only to
bowl. For running a run same 22 yards will apply.
First over has to mandatorily be batted by Female Player
Only 5 fielders including wicketkeeper will be allowed in the inner circle
Each run scored by running or by boundary will be doubled. Example 1 run will be accounted as 2 runs and
2 runs will be accounted as 4 runs and so on.
If the player gets out, then 2 runs will be subtracted from the total team score
Female Player can continue batting in the first over even after being out
After one over the team has an option of withdrawing the female player back. But if girl does not get out
even once and the team is interested the player can continue to bat the rest of the overs. But fielding
restriction will not apply after first over
If a male player is bowling to a female player, he has to bowl without moving his feet
Once captain decides to continue with the female player for batting, he cannot ask her to retire in
between
In case of a wide or a no ball, standard one run rule will apply for female players also
Female players will have to compulsorily field for 2 overs after one over bowling
Rules for Final Match:
Each innings will be of 10 overs per side
Each team has to complete its 10 overs in maximum of 45 minutes, after that each minute cost 1 run, any
unexpected incident will add 5 minutes
One over batting side power play and one over bowling side power play will be mandatory. Only 3 fielders
allowed outside circle in power play
Only 4 bowlers are allowed to bowl maximum of 2 overs
2 minutes of Strategic time-out will be there for each team after 6th over.
NOTE: Umpire decision will be final. If an umpire finds a player’s behavior inappropriate, he can debar the
player for the rest of the match
All other standard T-20 rules will apply
