Common Emitter Amplifier Analysis

This document describes a common emitter amplifier circuit. It contains a voltage source (Vi), resistors (R1, R2, R3), a transistor (Q1), and capacitors (C1, C3). The circuit calculates the input impedance (Zi), output impedance (Zo), voltage gain (Av), and current gain (Ai). It finds that Zi is 394.423Ω, Zo is 999.877Ω, Av is 44.5889, and Ai is 44.595. The maximum undistorted output is the maximum voltage the circuit can produce before clipping occurs.

Find Zi, Zo, Av, Ai, Display Vo versus Vi Maximum Undistorted Output =

Zi = Vi/Ii = 35.355x10-3V/ 39.552x10-6A = 893.887Ω

Zo = Vo/Io = 31.724x10-3V/23.931x10-6A= 1.3kΩ

Av =Vo/Vi = 31.724x10-3V/35.355x10-3V = 0.897≃1

Ai =-Io/Ii =-( 239.254x10-6A /39.552x10-6A) = -6.05

Conclusion: I therefore conclude that the output impedance of

the common collector is approximately equal to the
impedance of CE. The input impedance has a near value as the
value of R1 paralleled to R2. The maximum undistorted output
is presented to the maximum capacity of the circuit before it
clips the voltage.
