ABSTRACT
TITLE OF THE PROJECT: CONTRACT OF PLEDGE.
The Pledge means delivery of goods as security for the payment of debt or performance of a
promise. In this regard I have taken 5 judgements and the composition of which is two
judgements are delivered by the privy council and the remaining are delivered by the Hon’ble
Supreme Court of India.

So, in this research project I would analyse all the above stated case laws in order to learn the
contract of pledge and the judicial interpretation of the same and how it differs from the facts
and circumstances of each case.
