You drive towards Hosur on NH7. As you near Hosur, Keep asking for direction towards Rayakottai, TN.( If you are traveling from Bangalore, as you near Hosur, you have to
turn right to take the road to Rayakottai. There is another right turn, if you miss this)

Take the road to Rayakottai and travel further towards Palacode or (Palakkodu), TN. Once you reach Palacode, Pauparapatti is just around 4 to 5 Km. Before you reach the
Pauparapatti village, you get Agraharam Pauparapatti. This is around 0.5Km from main village. Roads inside Agraharam (around 9 to 10 feet). turning sharp. maruti
800/Alto/WagonR type can go easily. Near mutt there is parking place.

The Road conditions were good at this point in time. Distance around 130Km

Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu was the vidyagurugalu of Sri Sripadarajaru
Sri Raghunatha Tirtharu who gave the title of Sripadarajaru to Lakshminaraayana Muni was in the same period.
The Brindavana is located at the banks of river Tamraparni in Tirunelveli. It is said that Sri Vibhudendraru was an astounding scholar of Madhwa Shaastra. He went on
digvijaya in North India also.

Dwaita Siddhanta faced a big challenge during the period of Sri Vibhudendraru. Advaitha parampare had a great following and Sri Vibhudendraru fought many such
theological battle and established supremacy of Vishnu. The fact that how he was a great philosopher can be seen from the fact by seeing his shishya parampare which
comprise of Jitamitra Tirtharu, Sripadarajaru, etc. Sripadarajaru in turn gave many stalwarts in Madhwa philosophy.

Sri Rayara Mutt is worshipping the Shodasha Bahu Narasimha Devaru. It is the svapna labda for Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu. Once he went to Ahobala worshipping Narasimha
Devaru. There he had a dream wherein he saw Narasimha devaru with sixteen hands on the banks of the river. The same dream had come true for him the next day. The
same vigraha is being worshipped at Rayara Mutt parampare even now. The Vijayanagar Kings hadf donated lands at various places to Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu.

Initially the mutt was called as Sri Vibudendra Tirtha Mutt, subsequently after the entry of Sri Raghavendra Swamigalu, it is called as Rayara Mutt.
The Aradhana celebrations are done with grand preparations at Tirunelveli every year.

14. About the location of the brundavana :

The Moola brundvana of Sri Vibhudendra Theertharu is situated on a raised platform just in front of Sri Theerthakarai Srinivasa Perumal Temple – almost in the midst of the
famous river Thamaraparani in Tirunelveli. A week before the aradhana, we were told that the raised platform was surrounded by the flood waters of the river. After reaching
Tirunelveli railway station, one has to go to KURUKKUTHURAI – a distance of four kms. From there, the approach to the river is via C.N. Village agraharam. The distance
from Tirunelveli Vannarapet bus stop is about 5 kms. Buses from Bangalore to Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram pass thru Tirunelveli. The Tuticorin Express deviates at
Kovilpatti. Get down at Kovilpatti and reach Tirunelveli by bus.

Buses from bangalore to kanyakumari, thiruvananthapuram pass thro Tirunelveli, besides direct buses to tirunelveli from b’lore. Tuticorin express deviates@ kovilpatti,Get
down @kovilpatti and reach by [Link] river bank -approach via C N GRAMAM,beyond kurukkuthurai.

18. Thirukoilur is 35 KM from Tiruvannamalai towards Villupuram.

Route from Madurai -> Singapunari ->Thuvakudi -> Padalur -> follow NH 45 to Villupuram -> Take turn towards WEST (towards Tiruvannamalai) , before reaching
Tiruvannamalai you should reach Thrukovilur. After Thirukovilur bus terminous (CBS), and just after bridge over river Pinakini (heading Thiruvannamalai) one can find Sri
Raghottama teertharu’s brindavan on the right. A road in front of Sri Raghottama teertharu’s brindavana will take you to Veerachola puram ( 10 KM from Sri Raghottama
teertharu’s brindavan). Total distance from Madurai to Veerachola puram would be around 340 KM (by nearest roadway)

19. The following will be more relevant if you are going by car / taxi.

Take NH7 from Bangalore through Hosur to Krishnagiri.

From Krishnagiri take NH65 to Tiruvannamalai.
At Tiruvannamalai, take the road to Tirukoilur.

As suggested by Sri Krishna, you can have the brindavana darshana of Shri Raghoothama theertharu and Shri Satyapramodharu at Tirukoilur and then proceed to
Srimushnam. If you have time, you can also visit Shri Satyanatha theertharu's brindavana at Veeracholapuram and then proceed through Villupuram to Ulundurpet (on
NH45) and from there through Vriddhachalam to Srimushnam.

If you do not have sufficient time, you can proceed directly from Tirukoilur to Srimushnam through Ulundurpet and Vriddhachalam.
From Shri Raghoothamaru matha you have to proceed back on the Tiruvannamalai road for about 5 km and then take a left and cross the new bridge over the Pinakini river.
This is called the Tirukoilur - Asanur bypass road and is in excellent condition. At Elavasanur, you have to take the left and proceed to reach Ulundurpet. The road from
Ulundurpet to Vriddhachalam is not so good though.

Other than the Shri Uttaradi Math moola brindavanas mentioned above, there are two other temples that are located directly on the route that you will be following and so can

be visited easily. These are a) Shri Arunachaleswara temple at Tiruvannamalai and b) Shri Vriddhagirishwara temple at Virddhachalam. Both these temples have been
mentioned by Shri Vadirajaru in Theertha Prabandha and are therefore important.

At Srimushnam, in addition to having darshan of Shri Bhuvaraha swami temple, you should have the darshan of the Ashwattha Vriksha and Nitya Pushkarani located behind
the temple. To reach them, you should come out of the temple and then follow the temple compound wall to the right of the temple entrance. Shri Uttaradi Math is located
next to the Pushkarani and has a small hall with toilet facilities. Shri Bhuvarahamoorthy is the Manager of the Math (phone number: 04144-245505).

About 2 km before you reach Srimushnam temple, you will find a board on the right side mentioning the location of the Danda theertha created by Shri Madhwacharyaru
close by. You have to walk only 5-10 minutes from the road to reach the Danda theertha, but there is a small canal (about 15-20 feet across) on the way that is right now
filled with waist / chest deep water. You can either have a safe, distant darshan of the Danda theertha which can be clearly seen from the embankment of the canal or if you
are adventurous, wade through the canal and reach the Danda theertha.

20. The following will be more relevant if you are going by car / taxi.

Sri Satyapramoda Tirtharu restructured the Vrundavana :

Once, Shri Satyapramoda Teertharu Swamiji of Shri Uttaradi Matha wanted to save the Moola Brindavana of Shri Satyanidhi Teertharu which was to be affected under dam
wanter . Shri Satyapramoda Teertharu Swamiji went to the spot with his disciples and offered the pooja near the sannidhana of the Moola Brindavana for an hour and
ordered the disciples to dismantle the Brindavana.

When the disciples started to remove granite stone panels of Brindavana , they were surprised that they smelled the perfumes of Shri Gandha from the Moola Brindavana of
Shri Satyanidhi Teertharu. It is very interesting to convey that the disciples and swamiji found a saligram, Japamala and Counch (Kamandala), the Kamandala was full of
crystal clear water seemed to have been filled up on the same day. Shri Satyapramoda Teertharu Swami and the disciples who attended in the dismantling work wondered at
the divine power of His Holiness. He was such a great mystic and storehouse of penance. Shri Satyapramoda Teertharu swamy sprinkled the Kamandala water on the
disciples.
After completion of dismantling work the structure was carried to Kurnool and restructured in the permises of the Uttaradi Matha in the same architectural model as at
Nivruthi Sangam dring the year 1984.

26. Nandyal is nearest railway station from where U can go to Ahobilam. I don't think there is a direct train from chennai to Nandyal. U can reach Nandyal either from
Guntakal or even from Gooty. U have trains to Guntakal & Gooty from chennai.

From Nandyal U have Busses plying to Ahobilam via Allagadda. Frequency for direct Buses is less. But U have lot of Buses from Nandyal to Allagadda and from Allagadda
to Ahobilam. U may hire a taxi from Nandyal to Ahobilam as a better option. If U have Ur own vehicle U may travel from Chennai to Ahobilam via Gooty-Nadyal- Allagadda.

First U will reach Ahobalam town which is also called Lower Ahobalam. There is One old Shree Narashimha Devar Temple in the lower Ahobilam Town. The statue is in
Prasanna Mudra with Godess Lakshmi Devi seated with him. All ur tiresome due to long journey will vanish the moment U get Darshanam of Lord. There are lot of Shree
Vaishnava families who worship the Lord. They serve the yatri's on prior intimation & arrange for Ur stay, Teertha Prasad. From there U have to go to Ahobilam on top of the
Hill. It is about 10 km from Ahobalam Town.

There are chaultries avaialable on hill Top near Ahobilam Temple. U can have ur accomaodation there too. There too Teertha Prasada can be had on advance intimation.

27. Its very difficult to stay in Trivandurm for people with made. There are a section of people, who observe madi like us, they are called potthis. They do pooja in almost all
big temples in Kerala.

This Human temple is also managed by a trust and the president is Sri Kalkura (0471-2453076) from Udupi.
There is no place for staying and no TP.
If you ask people in Sri Padmanabha Temple about this Hanuman emple they will direct you, it close by.

29. Godavari river runs through the city and the place around the river is called Panchavati area. This is very close from the main city bus stand. At the max 2 kms. Other
places of interest would be Trimbakeshwar (one of the 12 jotirlingas), Tapovana (believed to be the place where lakshman cut of shurpanakha's nose), Pandavalena Caves
(legend says the cave were built by pandavas during vanavas... no sure though), Kalaram mandir (ram mandir). All the places can be covered in one day except trimbak....
esp if you wish to climb the brahmagiri mountain to see the place where it is believed that river godavari originates. Suggest that if you plan to treak the mountain have a
decently stick (to ward of monkeys) and a footware with good grip.

30. Haridwar Palimaru Mutt is the nearest to Station and Bus stand. You need to ask for Bairagi Camp, near God savar (horse shed) of CRPF. From there ask for Kali
mandir. It is near the mandir. Most of the Auto operators know it by the name Bade Hanuman Mandir.

Roorkee is on the way to Haridwar. It is 32 Km before Haridwar. From ISBT Haridwar will be around 220 Km and Roorkee will be around 190 Km. Rishikesh does not have
any of our Mutt. Pejawara mutt is on rishikesh road around 7 Km from station.

Mathura is around 150Km from Delhi on Faridabad side. You can complete the visit in one day from delhi to Mathura and back. If you atre planning you can plan for
Kurukshetra also, which is mentionewd in 8 cantos of Vamana purana.
