Foot Traffic Analysis

Seeing the foot traffic map that there is a foot congestion the Rizal avenue ext. because most of the
people there is gathering, waiting for a jeepney. On the other side of the road is also congested due to
the bus terminal and also a jeepney waiting area.

The most congested area is the General Rosendo Simon, because it is a public market. Most people
gather there to buy food. But the other reason why it is congested in there is because, some of the
vendors there place their goods in the street.

In other area moderately congested due to the jeepney terminals.

Type of Transportation

The table above is the demographics of how many passengers entered and exited the lrt monumento
every month. Also according the table January has the greatest number of passengers that uses the
train.

Summary of Road Traffic Volume and Network Performance

TRAFFIC ANALYSIS

Monumento is a busy place wherein a lot of commercial spaces are located also it is the dropping point
of most people that are using the lrt. There are factors in the area that causes traffic:

 Commercial spaces
 Transport nodes
 Lrt Station
 Pedestrians

Analysis:
The R-9 road going to the north, the monument circle and the Samson road or the c4 road is the
most congested area in monument because those areas are the lots of commercial spaces like the
SM Hypermarket, Puregold, Araneta Square and the Market located in General Rosendo Simon.

The r-9 road going South is moderately congested in vehicles but the most congested when it comes
to the pedestrians.
