Introduction

A resort is a place and location usually loaded with facilities used for enjoyment, rest, relaxation
and recreation. Resort is meant to attract diverse visitors for vacations and to promote tourism. It
can be a place, town, or commercial establishment that can be owned and operated by anyone who
meets certain pre conditions. Resort is an often places that provide scenic beauty in combinations
with a various activities meant to refresh and endiven a person both mentally a person both
physically and mentally. A resort can accomplish this best by providing vacationers with things like
food,beverages, room, cottages, and internet connection or any kinds of activities using
entertainment to your costumer.

Background and history

Sablayan is a top tourist destination in province of Occidental Mindoro in an agriculture surplus


area. Farm land agriculture or farm tourism emerges a new form of tourist attraction. It is reflected
by the prevalence of a handful of a farm resorts being develop in the municipality. Sablayan being
known for a world class tourist destination because of any kind tourist attraction which give and
create a huge income of Sablayan Municipality.

The growing income of families in the locality does not only enable them to satisfy the basic
needs of their children for food, shelter, and education but for their social needs as well. Every
Filipinos has a strong sense of family union and inclusion. Members of the family such as children
need to be with their parents in activities that strengthen their relationship like going out for picnics
and bonding on their free time or restday and also when there is occasion. In municipality of
Sablayan with 80,169 residences and 90% of them are have their family, a recreational facility such as
farm resort is a good venue to fill and stow this needs.

This facility also provides relaxation and satisfaction. The proponent will developed a natural
spring or falls present in the area.

Playground for kids such as see-saw, sliding to water and toy ride and sports facilities for adult
such as billiard, badminton, and court for basketball, together with a sing along with high quality
videoke machine and sound system, aside from that, will also provide the classical and ethnic design
of the cottages for taking picture activities of every customer.

A. Description of the industry


Sablayan is identified as one of the emerging tourist destination in the region and the top
tourist destination in the province of Occidental Mindoro, having two of the priority protected
areas in the country, the Apo Reef Natural Park and the Mt. Iglit Baco Natural Park. Those are
the some Eco-tourism. Eco-tourism was launched as the town’s top services and became the
second sources of livelihood of its people. Today, the municipality does not only showcase Eco-
tourism but the adventure tourism and farm tourism as well as develop. Recent developments
were also made to promote sports tourism and cruise tourism. Seeing the great potential of the
tourism industry for economic development of the town and its people, the local government
was prompted to pour funds to support the industry trough infrastructure development in some
tourism side and by capacitating the stakeholders in event management, tour guiding, diving,
product development. This impact enormous and became big increase in tourist arrivals 20B at
170% and continues its upward trend with an average of 61% annual increase in tourist arrivals
from 2015 to 2018. In 2016 the recorded tourism arrivals reached 90,181 visitors of which 90%
