courses, and in the hope of allowing the author to study and apply it.
Thank you to the lecturer in Ecology and Environment course, Ms. Dr. Nina Novira,
[Link]., for his guidance, Fox Collector can be a task of reviewing this Critical Journal.
Write that the task of this Critical Journal Review does not escape the errors and
shortcomings, therefore the compilers who really want criticism and constructive suggestions
from the Critical Review of this Journal.
Finally, the author of the Critical Journal Review can be used for the wider
community who want to make this task a reference.

ABSTRACT RESEARCH
A. Research Objectives
Based on observations from the entire contents of this journal it can be concluded that
this study aims to provide knowledge and description to the public regarding the effects of
air pollution on health and the environment in the future and how climate change is caused
by air pollutant gases.
The purpose of this study is not conveyed directly to the reader and there is no
literature or statement from the author stating the importance of understanding this
material.
B. Subjek Penelitian
The subjects of this study were the impact of air contamination, the causes of air
pollution, and the exposure to air pollution in India which were presented in the form of
statistical data.
C. Data Assessment
The data presented by researchers was obtained based on literature studies on relevant
sources such as books, international journals and from trusted official sources such as:
IPCC Cambridge University Press. The data presented by the author is dominated by
statistical data.
D. Keywords
In the abstract, the author uses keywords correctly. The keywords used are able to
provide an overview of the object and purpose of the research carried out. Keywords used
by the author are: Air pollution; Global warming; SO2, NO2, dan O3.
INTRODUCTION
A. Background and Theory
In the Theory section the author presents his ideas and ideas through theories from
relevant sources. The theories conveyed by the author outline consists of: Air
Contamination, Types of Air Pollution, Relationship of Air Pollution and India, Effects of
Air Pollution on Environmental Effects and Types of Air Pollutants.
On one of the lines researchers said that someone who is contaminated with toxic air
(page 386) is at risk of: Irritations (eyes, nose, and throat), coughing, chest tightness, and
difficulty breathing, worsening of the lungs and heart (asthma) and increased risk heart
attack. Meanwhile, according to Ratnani (2008: 28), it can result in physiological disorders
of organs such as the lungs and blood vessels or cause irritation to the eyes and skin. Then
it is strengthened in the affective journal (page 22), that toxic air (air pollution) can cause
diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumoconiosis, infections and allergic reactions.
In the theory explained, the author explained that Acid rain originated from fossil
combustion materials (page 388). The statement was supported by I Made Astra (in the
Journal of Meteorology and Geophysics: 133) that pollutants produced in fossil
combustion are the biggest factor in the occurrence of smoke, acid rain, and global
warming and climate change.
Furthermore, in the journal reported (page 389) that Air Pollution endangers the
harvest and trees. There will be a decline in tree development, seedlings and other
ecological burdens caused by infection (for example, brutal climate). This opinion is
supported in (afif journal: 23) said that environmental pollution causes destruction of
green leaves / yellowing substances, mottled leaves and decreased yields.
The theories presented by the author in this journal strengthen and support the topic
under study. So that the conclusions triggered by other researchers can be a comparison or
reference in the process of this research.
RESEARCH METHODS
A. Research Steps
This research is the result of a literature study conducted by the author. This research
method is based on statistical data from a variety of relevant sources both from books,
international journals and websites from trusted sites. The research data is then presented
by the author systematically and chronologically. This can be seen in the sub-material on
the Relationship of Air Pollution with India, the author first discusses some types of air
pollution then explains the impact of air pollution in India in particular. On the sub-
material (page 387) it is explained that India was ranked 101st in 2005 in the
Environmental Sustainability Index of 146 countries (Sreevatsan: 2010).
In addition the authors also presented a significant example of the discussion of the
impact of environmental pollution. The author also gives a concrete example of the bad
environment due to air pollution, namely the Indian state. In this study specifically the
country of India was discussed in the sub-material on the Relationship of Air Pollution and
India.
B. Research Results
The results showed that air pollution carries many negative impacts such as climate
change, environmental changes, and other environmental damage. The most important
effects of Air Pollution are resulting in respiratory diseases (asbestosis, silicosis and
bronchitis, cardiovascular infections, lung tissue diseases) and affecting plants and causing
chlorosis, decay, dying.
The author provides a theoretical solution in the form of reducing the level of air
contamination and reducing the level of gas emissions in the air by reducing vehicle use.
C. Research Discussion
This research presents relevant theories that are in accordance with the discussion so
as to support the topic under study. This research is also accompanied by examples of each
material.
Based on observations made by this journal, it does not explain applicative solutions
so that in future studies there needs to be an appropriate problem solving regarding the
material with the same discussion. Reviewers suggest the use of Sansevieria Ornamental
Plants (Putri journal, et al., 2013), where the plant has known benefits that can absorb air
pollutant substances.
D. Bibliography
The author uses many sources and references from various literature on his literature.
In Librarianship, it appears that the author uses references from abroad and some actual
sources such as: IPCC, scientific books and other international journals. So that this journal
can be said to be relevant in terms of its material sources. Then the author also uses
Hardvard-Style writing and is arranged sequentially alphabetically.
ADVANTAGE AND LACK OF JOURNAL
A. Strengths Of Journal
The strength of this research is based on ideas and ideas the author uses a diverse and
relevant theoretical basis in accordance with the problems examined in this study. In
addition, the author uses numerous sources and literature such as several official websites
(PPCI), international journals and books from abroad as reinforcement of the theoretical
basis in his research. The author in his presentation also presented statistical data so that
this journal could be said to be quite relevant.
Based on these advantages, it can be concluded that this journal is worthy of being a
reference and a good welcome from the readers.
B. Lack Of Journal
The weakness of this study is that the author does not explain directly what the
objectives of this study are. In the journal the author only presents material, comparisons,
and data only without being based on a clear purpose. In addition there is no presentation
in the form of tables, graphs and documentation images in this journal. Based on the
observation by the reviewer, it was concluded that in fact this study aimed to provide
knowledge and description to the public regarding the effects of air pollution on health and
the environment in the future and how climate change caused by air pollutant gas.
However, this study only contains theories and problems only and very few solutions are
offered. The solution found only on the final sheet is: by reducing the level of air
contamination and the vehicle reduces the level of gas emissions in the air. So that in terms
of solving this journal problem it is said that it is not good enough.
CONCLUSION
This study provides evidence that the impact of air pollution is very large. Impacts
arising from this pollution are based on 2 indicators, namely: First, Environmental Effects
(Acid Rain, Eutrophication, Fog, Effects on wildlife, Ozone depletion and Damage to
plants and forests. Second, Types of Air Pollutants (Sulfur dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen oxides
(NO2) and Ozone) These two indicators are the basis for the authors describing what
losses are obtained by people who experience environmental pollution.
This research also presents a real example of one of the countries that experienced air
pollution and specifically discussed in the sub-discussion in this journal, namely the
country of India. The author explained broadly based on existing statistical data about the
problem of how serious the effects of air pollution on the country.
SUGGESTION
It is suggested further research on this Air Pollution directly. In addition, in the
presentation, the author should present illustrations both graphically and documentation
images so that it is easier for readers to understand the material presented.
