Coastal Erosion in Kuala Terengganu

1) This study examines the impact of coastal morphology on erosion and accretion areas in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia using elevation data collected via static and RTK-GPS surveys. 2) The study area experiences heavy erosion, particularly along the northern coast near Kuala Terengganu. Coastal erosion threatens infrastructure and development in the area. 3) The results of this study can help local agencies address coastal erosion and support sustainable management of the coastline to benefit residents, tourism, and the local economy. Precise elevation data collection using RTK-GPS can enhance understanding of changes in the coastal baseline over time.
