Data Analysis and Regression Questions

This document contains questions for analyzing a project's data set. It asks the reader to use descriptive statistics to discuss variables, determine variable distributions, transform variables to normal distributions, calculate confidence intervals for means and proportions, conduct hypothesis tests on variables, calculate a repayment success metric (PRSM) and use regression analysis to predict defaults based on variables, and explain linear regressions of PRSM based on independent variables.

Questions for Project

1. Discuss the nature of variables given in the data set. Use descriptive
statistics (central tendency and dispersion) for quantitative and qualitative
variables and discuss the results.

2. What is the distribution of variables (quantitative) in the given data set?

3. Use necessary transformation over the quantitative variables to bring in

Normal distribution form.

4. Calculate confidence interval at 95% level for population mean and

population proportion for quantitative and qualitative variables. You can
assume any value for population standard deviation.

5. Use hypothesis testing for quantitative and qualitative variables by

considering null hypothesis as mu=0 or p^=0.

6. Calculate PRSM and Use regression analysis to predict the defaulter

characteristics based on all given variables.

7. Explain the linear regression (PRSM~ Variable) by taking different

independent variables.

PRSM= 2* (Amount repaid in six month)/Total amount to be repaid

0<-PRSM<-2
