Fundamental Positions in Folk Dance Lesson

This lesson plan aims to teach students the five fundamental positions of the arms and feet in folk dancing. The teacher will show a video example, discuss each position, and demonstrate them. Students will then practice the positions in pairs and have their form assessed. As an evaluation, students must prepare a video presenting the class performing the positions, which will be rated on several criteria including formation, sequence, beat, and style. The goal is for students to learn and appreciate the beauty of folk dance through proper execution of basic body positions.
