Right To Education:
There is a popular saying that “education is the most powerful
tool that can be used to change the world”. While, it might be
true that majority of school-aged children attend school today
but quality education is given amiss and stands ungeneralized.
Yes, there are schools that provide quality education but only
the rich can afford. Aristotle once said “you are what you
repeatedly do”, while the rich are able to look at the big picture
as a result of the good quality of education they are provided
with, a majority of the poor revolve in the same space. I cite the
aforesaid as the reason behind the famous dialogue that “Rich
are getting richer, Poor are getting poorer”.
If I were to make a statement that “education can make you a
little or make you largely” I would be right until a few years
back but after having reviewed the current scenario where
education is deployed as a tool for political gains to create a rift
between hindus and muslims I don’t think so I would be termed
wrong if I say“ in minority of cases, education can also break
you”.The same has been reported by BBC news channel .I also
understand that it is certainly inappropriate to make aforesaid
statement but it is the worry that triggers me to do so.
India has to work on standardizing the system of education so
that we are led to the path of innovation rather than the narrow
narrative.
Right To Religious Freedom:
India is a secular country. All people are decisive between
right and wrong by relying on references and precedents, so
it is instinctive that a right for a person can be wrong for
another as people follow different religions. The conflict
starts when one wears a spectacle of religion and starts to
judge things. There is a massive propaganda being spread to
convert India into a hindu country and the people
propagandizing hindu country go on to say that it will be an
inclusive country. How can it be inclusive when secular is
converted into a hindu?. How can the right to religious
freedom prevail when it is not secular?. How unintellectual it
is when the main issues are cornered and the non-issues that
target the religious procedures like triple talaq are
centralized? , when restrictions are imposed on religious
garments be it the Jews wearing the kippah, the Muslim
women wearing hijab or the Hindus wearing saffron etc.I
like a saying that can be handy in resisting the conflicts and
it goes like this “ I believe I have the truth and you believe
you have the truth , I will respect your truth and you please
respect mine”.
Ultimately everyone wants to live at peace and for everyone
to live at peace right to religious freedom should be given
utmost importance.
Right To Freedom Of Speech:
There is a lot of room in India to enhance freedom of speech.
The current government tries to mute anyone that speaks against
them. In my opinion it would be advantageous if the current
government is schooled with an elaborate definition of what
actually democracy is. In some cases the cost of exercising ones
freedom of speech could be jail, murder or entitling themselves
anti-national, threats. In some cases, as a result of this
undemocratic approach the fourth pillar of democracy i.e media
ends up being biased out of desperation thereby spreading news
with drastic changes. We have to have a government that
emphasizes on freedom of speech so that a real democracy can
be experienced.
Right To Equality:
There are different categories of people with respect to
complexion. Generally the americans and the europeans are
white in colour because of the cold climate they live in, The
asians are wheatish or light brown in colour as they live in
moderate climate and the africans are dark brown in colour
for the reason that they live in extreme hot climate. Which
coloured human beings are right? why do the people on earth
often tend to Judge others on the basis of colour while the
complexion of a person is purely because of the climate that
one lives in and it is not in the hands of a person to take birth
in a desired place.
Richness is the factor which divides people into superior and
inferior. This tag of superior and inferior on people is so
widely instinctively disseminated that it makes a lot of
difference in the ease of getting their tasks done in any
sector.
We have to make an effort to consider all humans are equal
irrespective of caste, creed, colour, sex, origin, richness etc
Right To Privacy:
The Indian government has made a travesty of right to
privacy by signing an order that authorizes them to track data
in any computer.
Upholding right to privacy is absolutely sacrosanct.
