The study was conducted to know how social media affect the
mental health of the teenager [Link] study aims in general, to know
what and how social media affect the mental health of the teenagers in
Ilawod,Camalig,Albay,and to know the advantage and disadvantages of it in
different [Link],seeks answers to the following problems: The
demographic profile of the teenagers in terms of age,sex,grade [Link]
number of months and years using social media,occupation of the
parents,social media usually used,number of hours spent using social
media,the patterns learn by the teenagers in using social media and the
advantage and disadvantages of using social media in different aspects.

This study was anchored on Theory of Behaviorism by John B.


Watson that simply assumes that a learners is essentially passive and
responding to environmental stimuli.

The following conclusions were drawn from the results interpreted


by the researchers.

Social media have a great impact on teenagers aging 14-16 of [Link] strongly
affect their behaviour and have both positive and negative impact on their
mental health academic,economic,and attitude aspects.

Background of the Study

The rise in the use of the social media has led to many changes in our daily [Link]

internet [Link] hardware will also be required whether it’s a com;p;uter or

information,ideas,career interests and other forms of expression via virtual
communities and networks.

This study aims to determine the social media implication of the teeanagers of
Ilawod,Camalig,[Link],the researchers seek to answer the following
