 CHECKLIST FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION
(The following documents must be submitted together with the Application Form in order to receive Offer letter)

New Students applying from overseas

1. Copy of Academic Certificates :

High School Certificate / ‘O’ Level or ‘A’ Level Certificates / Diploma / Transcripts / result slip / other
related academic Certificates.

Note:
 Certificates in languages other than English must be submitted together with a certified translation

All certificates must be stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(from the origin country) and Embassy/Consulate in Malaysia

2. English Proficiency Certificate: IELTS (min 5.0) or TOEFL (min 500).

Other certifications accepted: Cambridge Advanced English (CAE), Cambridge Proficiency English
(CPE), Pearson Test of English (PTE), and Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

3. Copy of Passport – all pages including passport cover and blank pages (please make 2 pages in full A4
size). The passport must be valid more than 2 years from the application date.

4. Color photograph: passport size (4.5 cm high x 3.5 cm wide) with white background.

5. Medical Examination Report (must be submitted upon receiving of Offer Letter).

6. Financial Statement (personal, parent or guardian) – student must submit evidence of adequate financial
support to cover the costs of one full year of study at UniKL. Scholarship/sponsored students must
provide a relevant letter from their scholarship provider or sponsor.

7. No Objection Certificate (NOC) – only applicable to Sub Sahara Countries (Please use UniKL Format).

8. Eligibility Letter – only for Nigerian passport holder.

9. Declaration Letter – if applicable – discrepancy of name on passport & academic transcripts; to be issued
by home country Ministry of Education OR home country Embassy/ Consulate.

New Student Applying from Malaysia (Transfer Student with student visa from any institution in Malaysia)

All the above documents and additional of documents from recent college/university:

1. Release Letter with the Attendance Report from previous university/college

2. Academic Transcript or Certificate of Completion (certified true copies)

3. Student Pass cancellation (all cancellation must be managed by previous university/college)
