Instruction: Assume appropriate missing data if any.

1] Discuss about the mechanics of filtering in spatial domain. Mention the points to be considered in
implementing neighborhood operation for spatial filtering.
2] Apply median filtering technique on 3 bit gray level image of size 4 x 4.

3] What is meant by Gradient and the Laplacian? Discuss their role in Image enhancement.

4] Discuss using masks how the various filter kernels are generated to sharpen images in
spatial filters.
