I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the1-hour lesson, students with 85% mastery, will be able to:
a). identify the types of adverb;
c). construct sentences containing adverbs; and
d). write a paragraph about their idea about the fun weekend using adverbs

“In this activity, I need four groups. Each
group will have a role play showing there
daily routine. The groups will be given 5
minutes to prepare and 1-3 minutes of
presntation. The presentation will be
evaluated using these criteria”
Criteria:
Cooperation - 3 points
Time management- 2 points
Relevance to the tpoic- 3 points
Grammar- 2 points
Total: 10 points

B. Abstraction
“Job well done! Now, let’s check your work.
Did the first group achive the criteria?
What is your feed back group 2?”
“Yes, Ma’am. They have created a role play
connected to the topic you gave, but some of
them are not participating during the
preparation. ”
“Very good! How about the second group?
What is your feedback group 3”
“I think they are very creative in making there
role play. Also they have used correct
grammar and most of them are cooperating.”
“Great! Now let’s move on to our third group.
What can you say about there presentation
group 4?”
“The group 3 performs well and all there
groupmates are very participative during the
preparation as well as during the presentaion.”
“Excellent observation group 4. Now lets see
how does the group 4 perform. What can you
say group 1?”
“The four almost have the perfect
presentation. The presentation that they’ve
done is very empressive.”
“Wonderful, we have the same observation.”
“Now what can you observe about our
activity?”
“The activity was fun.”
“Okey cool. Aside from being fun what else
can you notice in the activity?”
“It looks like we make a time line using the
things we do every day. Starting from waking
up, until we go back to sleep. ”
“What have you observed from the sentences?

“The sentences have the time as well as where
the event took place.”

“Ma’am adverb.”
“Very good. Is there anyone from the class
who can give the meaning of adverb?”
“Ma’am adverb is a word that describes an
verb and adverb.”
“Excellent answer. What is the type of adverb
that tells when is the event took place?”
“Ma’am that is adverb of time.”
“That’s correct. What is the type of adverb
that tells where the situation occured?”
“Ma’am that is adverb of place.”
“ Awsome, Now lets have another activity.”
Instruction: On the same group that you have
earlier, using the cartolina and the marker that
you have I want you to identify from the
words given, what fo you think are the adverb
of time and adverb of [Link] after that
you will choose one reresentative to explain
your [Link] will be given 5 minutes to
do the activity”

Instruction: The students will write a
paragraph about their idea about the fun
weekend using adverbs. (minimum of 5
sentences)

TOTAL: 10 points

Direction: Determine if the sentences below use the adverbs correctly. Write C if
it is correctly used or W if it is wrong. Write on the space provided before each
sentences.
