Self-Hardening Law Simulation Parameters

The document discusses a self-hardening law equation used to model material behavior during a simulation. The equation contains parameters for initial hardening modulus, initial resolved shear stress, and critical resolved shear stress. The simulation was terminating previously due to parameter values of 0 for both austenite and ferrite materials. New parameter values are provided that allow the simulation to complete successfully.

Self hardening law

According to the equation stated below.

ho
h  h   ho sec h 2
 s  o

ho --> Initial hardening modulus

𝜏0 --> Initial resolved shear stress

These to be
𝜏𝑠 --> Critical Resolved Shear stress checked
keenly

The parameters which are provided for me to the above values are as follows:

Parameter Austenite Ferrite

ho 0 0
𝜏0 77 110
𝜏𝑠 0 0

So according to the formulations

The simulation is terminating.

So on the whole with the parameters above for sure the simulation would be terminated with the
problem mentioned in the below figure.

The solution for me is resolved with the parameters

Parameter Austenite Ferrite

ho 0 0
𝜏0 77 110
𝜏𝑠 152 201
