Features Zinc Stearate XM Powder is produced from a high quality hydrogenated and distilled
fatty acid for applications requiring medium density processing aid with good flow and
blending characteristics, including powdered metal, thermosets and polyolefins.
Performance Consistent physical properties and medium density provide excellent blending and
dispersion properties with a large variety of materials.
Relatively large particle size and medium density contributes minimally to initial
viscosity in SMC mixes, allowing for good glass wet out, while providing good
lubrication and surface quality in the molding process. Engineered particle size
enhances blending properties with powdered metal and imparts consistent porosity
for fabrication of self-lubricating components.
Provide acid catalyst neutralization for polyolefins and very good lubrication and mold
release properties in other thermoplastic applications.
Quality Control A modern, state-of-the-art plant process with strict control ensures consistent quality
in chemical and mechanical properties.
Regulatory Meets FDA requirements under 21CFR 178.2010 and Regulation Directive (EU)
10/2011 for additives used in plastic materials and articles intended to come into
contact with foods.
In accordance with Regulation Directive (EU) 10/2011; the specific migration limit
(SML) of zinc salts has to be observed, no fat consumption reduction factor (FRF)
has to be observed and no component contained therein should be considered as a
dual use additive in accordance with, Article 11 (3a)..
Packaging Standard 40 x 50 lb. multiwall bags on stretch wrapped pallet. Bulk packaging in
supersacks is available.
Storage Storage in dry areas at normal ambient temperatures is recommended. Open
containers of unused product should be firmly closed for storage.
