IFR Quick Reference

REQUIRED INSTRUMENTS (IFR) REQUIRED REPORTS


Generator or alternator At all times:
Radios (appropriate for facilities used) Missed approach
Altimeter (sensitive) Altitude changes (VFR on-top)
Ball (slip/skid indicator of turn coord) TAS changes (±5% or ±10 Kts)
Clock Holding (Time/Alt entering & leaving)
Attitude indicator Cannot clime/descend 500 FPM

CROSSING A FIX/FAF When not in radar contact:
