ABSTRACT

Foundation is a part of a building which bears weight of the building itself and
any other external forces, like earthquake. The forces which foundation bears will
be transfered to a subsoil under the building. Foundation of Service Apartment
Tower 3 is planned to be bored pile foundation. Bearing capacity and shaft
capacity of this foundation is calculated by using Meyerhoff while lateral capacity
is calculated by using Broms method. Bored pile is designed to be cylinder with
13-metre length and 0.8-metre diametre. Total of bored pile needed to support the
building of Service Apartment Tower 3 are 35. Logitudinal reinforcement of bored
pile is 14D22 while spiral reinforcement is D13-40. There are 4 types of pile cap
which used in this design, they are PC-1, PC-2, PC-3, and PC-4. The biggest one
is PC-4 whose dimension is 2.8 m x 9.4 m x 1.1 m. Total cost of material needed is
IDR 928,951,939.
