MY EXPECTATION
Expectation in Pediatric ward
They say that our next rotation is easy, but for me it’s not easy, because
we are dealing to the children, and if the child is having a tantrum, I don’t know
how to deal with them. In this rotation, I will experience now sleepless nights
because of lots of paper works to do like medication sheet, NCP, Gordon’s, etc.
and of course lots of study. I know that in pediatric ward is very exhausted but
despite of that it gives me a challenge to overcome all the pressure, so that it
makes me become a responsible nursing student. And I will keep it on my mind
and my heart all the lessons that I will encounter in this rotation.
Expectation for my Clinical Instructor
I’m expecting for my Clinical Instructor that she is approachable and
friendly. I hope that she will impart her knowledge and she will do all her best to
make sure that we understand and comprehend what she will taught of us so that
will make us improve in our grade especially in computations. And I expect that
she will mingle with us, like us and she will never hesitate to help us in our
problem like in our clinical area and paper works and etc.. And I expecting that
she will have more patience. Aside of that I expect also that she will guide as in
our clinical area in order for me to achieve my goal or objectives.
Expectation for myself
I expect to myself to gain more knowledge here in this rotation, to learn a
lot of things and to be more responsible, initiative and discipline. I expect that I
become more confident in doing all the procedure and answer all the questions
of my clinical instructor. I expect that I will never do any mistakes in our clinical
area.
Expectation for my C.I group
We have our new C.I group and I hope that I can mingle with them. And I’m expecting
that we will not having any conflict in our group, especially now that it is very busy and
exhausted. I hope that we will overcome all the pressure with no conflict. And I
expecting to my C.I group that we will work together and helping each other, and I
expect that we will have more patience so that we will not having any conflict. And lastly
I hope that all of us will cooperate.
General Objective:
Within my exposure in the pediatric ward, I will able to apply all the
procedure well, enhance my knowledge, and enhance my self-confidence and to
be more a responsible nursing student by passing on time all my paper works.
