Kings Cross Area Concerns and Solutions

Owen Ward has contacted the local councillors about issues of litter, graffiti, and inappropriate street furniture and advertisements in the Kings Cross area. He has previously reached out to Jonathan Simpson without a response. Ward takes pride in the area and has researched local legislation. He requests a discussion with the councillors to work together on resolving problems like litter, clutter, graffiti, mobile advertisements, bike sharing programs, and building extensions.

Subject: Kings Cross, Bloomsbury, The Conservation Area

Dear Councillors,

I have already contacted Jonathan Simpson many times about these matters, but he seems
totally uninterested in responding to my emails. I sincerely hope that one of you can show
greater interest.
I have been making enquiries about litter and other such nuisances in Kings Cross. I have
been researching legislation regarding London. I would appreciate it if you could work with
me on this matter.
I take great pride in this area, which is why I am doing what I do. I see many things in your
ward and neighbouring wards which I find unacceptable, to varying degrees. These include:

Litter.
Inappropriate street furniture, street clutter.
Graffiti and stickers/fly posting.
Inappropriate advertisement e.g. 'Kings Cross Mobile' on Euston Road.
Inappropriate use of street space by retail premises e.g. outside Ethio stores.
Presence of these non-Santander street bikes, which clutters the area and often accumulate
in piles.
The inappropriate extension to the top of the Town Hall Annexe.

I have been trying to work with Councillors to fix these matters but it seems that nobody is
very interested. It really is the duty of the Council to resolve these matters. I would
appreciate it if I could have a discussion to see what we can do to resolve these problems.

Best regards,
Owen Ward
