The San Antonio River Improvements Project includes two reaches. The Museum
(Northern) Reach begins at Lexington Street and runs north about four miles to E.
Hildebrand Avenue at Brackenridge Park. Although the actual river headwaters are
north of Hildebrand Avenue on the University of the Incarnate Word campus, the
University is private property and the acknowledgement of the river origin will occur
on the Brackenridge Park land.
