Structural

 Sent the actual Architectural drawings in CAD ( after including the necessary corrections)
 Legend should be included in the drawings
 The correct position of water tank and its depth
 Correct wall thickness

 For the design of foundation, no need to increase SBC of soil.


 Cover to foundation must be 50mm.
 The soil report recommendation must be clear for M30 concrete and Fe 500 steel.
 There should be one site plan in which both bore hole locations and the proposed building are
super imposed.
 Site photos are needed.
 Water table location must be there in the soil report.
 For calculation of SBC factor of safety is 4. Please explain how the factor of safety is taken as 4.
 Please submit a general note of structural diagram stating the grade of concrete, grade of steel,
Cover to various structural elements, general reinforcement detailing pattern and any valid
instruction to be given at site.
 The actual correct structural drawing should be submitted( not a 3D model in rivet), with the
following details,
The sectional plan, sectional elevation of each drawing
The size of members, reinforcement, cover provided, tie pattern, hook and development
length etc should be clearly marked
Tabulate beam, column, foundation & slab sizes and reinforcements.
Anchorage of column reinforcement must be shown.
For each floor, beam & column details and tabulations must be shown.
The grid work must done in e tab and same pattern must shown in structural drawings
Name of column, beam, foundation, plinth beam must clearly marked in the drawings and
same must be tabulated.
 For slab,
 10mm thickness must be used.
 Indicate properly the slab layout for each floor.
 The slab reinforcement details and thickness must be properly marked.
 Tabulate the slab size and reinforcement.
 For slabs a cover of 20mm must be used.
 The PCC of 1:4:8, 10cm thick must be taken below foundation.
 For Plinth beam
 Provide the depth as 30cm and check whether it is safe or not.
 Below that provide 2 layer of solid block and 10cm PCC.
 No beams provided are deep beams. So side reinforcement is not needed. Correctly design the
beams
 The loads in the sunken slabs must be taken for analysis and the drawings (for sunken slab)must
be shown.
 For water tank
 Thickness of slab must be taken as 20cm
 The walls must be modeled for hydrostatic pressure
 The detailed structural drawing of water tank is required
 The cover at the water tank must be 25mm
 The thickness of lintel must be taken as 10cm and do the design.
 The detailed design and structural drawings of lintel and sunshade is required.
 The projection of sunshade should not more than 60cm
 During the concreting the waterproofing compound must be added and it should be marked in
the drawing as a note.
 In the detailing of secondary beams follow SP 34.
 The concrete must be M30 and steel FE 500 for the main structure.
 The thickness of wall 15cm (for external wall instead of 20cm) and 10cm for interior walls.
