Dear Alvin,
How have the family been? I hope you are well. Many thanks for your recent letter.
I’m sorry I haven't been in touch for such a long time. I am sorry after hearing about your
curfew. Trust me, I’ve been in your shoes, so let me share with you some of the curfew
advantages.
First of all, our parents setting curfew because, it is one of the way to combat social
ills such as glue sniffing and drugs abuse. I know that you felt it limits your freedom and it is
seems unfair and unreasonable, but you fail to realize is that curfews are actually beneficial
for your overall well-being.
Next, when following curfews it will prevent you from getting negative attitudes. It is
prevention against juvenile delinquency such as smoking and truancy. Curfews ensure safety
because once you get out of the house very late at night, you will no longer be protected
under family environment. In this case, you will be a lot more vulnerable to crime.
Other than that, curfews can also help you to learn responsibility and be discipline by
setting a schedule for when you can be out and when you must return home. It is also make
you learn to respects time. You will learn both order and how to manage your after-school
time, which will come in handy when you enter the real world.
During the curfew, you can gain build trust to our parents by demonstrate a pattern of
trustworthy behaviour. Setting curfews also help you to be able to get to sleep at a decent
time, which leads to increase focus and wakefulness in school, this could ultimately even lead
to better grades.
There are a lot of activities that could be done at home such as discussing your
homework with our parents. Your also can play video or board games with our parents or
even watch movies with them during weekends. I believe you can follow our parents’
