Exercise 1
Be still but change the old parts that holding you back. That is exactly the words that
first paste on my mind when I read that written work entitled “Who am I, who am I?” As
a growing person, I reflected that I must learn how to exclude the things that keeping
me from the past for I am living in the world where change is only the constant thing that
remains. The world keeps growing every day and I myself should also grow too
because as far as I’ve observed, I always have this fear in my heart that keeps holding
me back to discover new things that would help me to grow more as a person. I am that
typical girl who usually just hides in a shell and never dared to step out in her comfort
zone. It seems like I am letting myself to be prisoned in great thick walls that I’ve made
throughout the years and I have learned that it is not helping me neither making me feel
good. I must learn to take just one step out of my comfort zone, one step at a time and
eventually I would reach that goal which is to question myself no more.
Who am i? Who am i? Every day I tend to ask it in myself in front of a round mirror and I
never got the right answer for this question because my identity should be seen as an
ongoing process just like how the author wrote about in his work. I must face the reality
that I as a person should have a lot of process to be gone with for life is not a fairytale
nor a story in a book, it is like an unending process that I should learn to adapt to.
Re-frame, re-organize, re-think and re-consider myself would be the best way to adapt
on the ongoing process of a man. It’s our nature and I should never let myself to just
hide their in a corner embracing all my fears and insecurities in life. I must stand up and
step out to tell the world that questioning myself including my worth will never be an
instrument for a genuine happiness that I’ve been longing to embrace since then. I will
and I must take the opportunity to at least step out, to move forward and to never look
back on the past.
I must accept the challenge of viewing myself in a different kind of mirror. Break the old
one and face my head up straight on a mirror that would only reflect a bright future
ahead.

Exercise 1
1. What are your strengths?
I am pretty good in handling my emotions just to resist myself from breaking down. I
must say that I have this strong heart that whatever may come in my way, I always face
it with a wide smile. I am really that good in pretending. I know some of you would
consider it as weakness but as for myself it will never be one because pretending and
holding on a mask always helps me to do better and it prevents me from hurting the
people I love the most.
2. What are your abilities?
I am not really sure about my abilities, just to be honest but if I have to choose one
then I must say I have this ability of caring too much to the people around me. I consider
this one as ability because this is where I am mastered to. I don’t know why but I really
love to watch out the people whom I really love and care for them. I will never get tired
to be their handkerchief when their drowning in tears and I will always be their crying
shoulder no matter what happens.
3. How are you different from others of same age?
I guess, I am different from the pack because I am unique in my own way. I have this
attitude that even though I always hide in my shell, I’ve got a lot of good friends to be
with because I may be not genuine as for myself but as for my friends, I am a genuine
lover. This is what I differ the most from those others teens because many of them just
use friends for popularity and never get the real meaning of it. But for me? They are
valued and will always be my treasured.
4. What do you wish to change in your traits? Why?
If I have to change one thing in my traits, it would be the habit of questioning myself
and worth as a person. I really want to end this self-pity I have for myself and for once
be proud of what am I right now. It is just so tiring to sleep at night with a heart so heavy
that I couldn’t carry it on my own. I need to change this trait so that I can move forward
and be on a process.
5. What do you want to achieve for yourself?
Simply, I just want the genuine happiness for myself. I want to achieve the genuine
smiles that I’ve been dreaming of since then. It may sound cliché or what but a real
happiness is what I really want to achieve with because if you do everything with a
genuine happiness in your heart then surely you will succeed in everything that you do
