III. Pre-Testing Requirements

1. Secure all necessary permits & access


2. Prepare tools and equipment that are necessary for the testing or servicing
 Multi-tester
 Ladder
 Heat Gun (for Heat Detector)
 Hand Tools
3. Prepare all the necessary testing or servicing documents i.e. testing checklist, service report, etc…
4. Notify personnel in the facility and at off-premises monitoring locations that you are working on
The system.
5. Physically disconnect the Nitrogen Pilot Cylinder Cartridge from the Control Panel.
6. Physically disconnect the wiring of FDAS interface.
7. Ensure that emergency operations controlled by this system such as power shutoff are bypassed.

IV. Proper Testing

Procedure:

1. Visually check & inspect the control panel for normal operation.
2. Visually inspect the conduit & Nozzle location.
3. Check Link Line & Detector location.
4. Apply Heat to Fusible Link or cut a terminal test link to inspect the fire systems automatic
actuation.
(If required)
5. Test the remote manual release station by removing the pin lock & pulling the lever.
6. Verify the functionality of Mechanical Gas Shut-off Valve.
7. Verify the gauge level of pressurized tanks.
8. Test all electrical interlock. (if any)
9. Remove and clean nozzles.
10. Verify tightness of piping & cable tensioning.
 TESTING IS DONE…..

NOTE: Re-connect all disconnected devices before leaving the area.
