ABSTRACT
Leucorrhoea is the liquid that comes out that is not in the form of blood
and comes out of the vagina. The cause of vaginal discharge can be
normal (physiological) which is influenced by certain hormones and can be
abnormal (pathological) which can be caused by infection or inflammation
that occurs due to washing with dirty water, improper internal examination,
excessive use of vaginal rinsing, examination that is not hygienic and the
presence of foreign objects in the vagina. factors that influence the
occurrence of vaginal discharge (Flour albus) include knowledge. This
study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and
the incidence of physiological vaginal discharge in adolescent girls in
AZHAR Rangkasbitung Darling High School in 2018. This study uses
primary data by distributing questionnaires. behavior in maintaining
personal hygiene in good categories (66.66%), and lack of knowledge
(50%). The research method used cross sectional, and the number of
population in class XI Rangkasbitung was 69 people with a sample of 24
respondents. Based on the results of the chi square test obtained the
value of chi square obtained = 0.0559 (p 5 0.05) which means that the
results of the statistical test there is no relationship between personal
hygiene and the incidence of vaginal discharge. The value of Odds Ratio
(OR) = 0.4 (0.07238666 - 3.453675), which means that poor personal
hygiene 0.4 times less experienced vaginal discharge than those who did
not experience vaginal discharge. It is expected that often do voluntary
work for each generation or jumsih (Friday clean) so that the room is not
humid and hopefully reduce the incidence of vaginal discharge.
