Subject: Guidelines for Civil Service Entrance Test, Evaluation and Interview - 2015

1. The entrance test paper would be divided into two sections -A and B. Section - A would
consist of objective type questions. There would be 60 questions and the total marks for
this section would be 60 (60x1 =60). Section B would consist of Essay writing in any of
the three languages - English, Hindu or Urdu for which the total marks allotted would be
25. Candidates would be required to write an essay on anyone of the given topics. The
total time allotted for both the sections would be two hours.

2. There would be negative marking for objective type questions in the test. One third of the
marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

3. The essays of only first 700 examinees in order of merit, to be determined on the basis
of Section 'A', would be evaluated.

4. The number of seats available is 125. However, seats in the hostel are available for 98
students only. The rest may be admitted but they will have to make their own
arrangements of residence.

5. A total of 300 candidates will be called for interview in order of merit in written paper.

6. The total marks for interview would be 15.
