breaking bricks. This will be

5. Hazardous Substances – mortar Contact Dermatitis Staff Risk of Dermatitis or cement burns
Burns should be explained to staff.
Use cement or cement containing
products within the use-by date.
Direct skin contact should be
avoided – use CE marked PVC
gloves when handling mortar.
Washing facilities are available on
site – staff should be reminded to
observe high levels of personal
hygiene and not eat, drink or
smoke until properly washed.
Staff must inform supervisor of any
early signs of dermatitis or changes
to the skin.
6. Operating cement mixer Crush injuries Staff Cement mixer must be located on
