This study involved seven teachers, five administrators
and ten parents from the same school in Georgia. The
participants were given separate questionnaires that

Implications for change project
The study was to examine the perceptions of administrators, teachers and parents on the integration of multiple
intelligences into the curriculum. The multiple intelligences theory has flexibility that allows teachers to use it in a
variety of ways depending on their students’ needs. This allows students to demonstrate their understanding in ways that
are unique to them while respecting the needs of others. It was also revealed that the integration of the multiple
intelligences enhanced students’ strengths and their love for learning. It was also evident that multiple intelligences
theory was a great concept that allowed students to demonstrate their own individual “smarts”. This study provides
support that using programs, like Respecting Diversity (Katz, 2012), that use multiple intelligences have positive effects
on the students involved. I choose to implement a program that helps students identify their strengths to help them gain
gain an understanding of their value and how they positively contribute to their learning environment. This will then
provide opportunities for students to increase their participation and share their knowledge and gifts with others in the
class.
