Checking of attendance
Submission of assignments/outputs/projects (if there is/are)
10-minute reading activity

Recop of the past discussion

b. Lesson proper:
Activity:
1. Distribution of the printed copies of the lesson
2. Reading of the printed copies.
3. Analysing the content of the printed copies.
Analysis:
1. What is the title of the story?
2. Who were the characters in the story?
3. What is the setting of the story?
4. What did the mother feel after knowing that her fish roe was eaten?
5. Why do you think it came across to the mother to commit suicide?

Abstraction:
1. Describe Mak Mina, Mawar and Bulat through characterization. How do they influence or affect the
character of one another?
2. What do you think is the significance of this story to the culture of the Malay?
Application: Paired Activity
Direction: Choose a partner. Then put yourselves to the situation of Mawar and Bulat. If you were the son and daughter of Mak
Mina how will you make Mak Mina not to commit suicide?

IV. Assessment:
Direction: Explain the following.
1. What is the moral/lesson of the story? How does it affect you? Explain your answer in 4-6
sentences.
