William is struggling to complete a film reconstruction for school. In his dream, his friend Arash appears and agrees to help film at a local park. However, when they arrive another William clone is there who also wants to help. The two Williams argue until William storms off frustrated. William then wakes up realizing his dreams were influencing his thoughts on how to complete his school project.

CONSCIOUS

SCENE ONE

The scene opens in Williams bedroom, late at night. There are


sheets scattered across his table, faint music playing and a
clip on his computer. Under a storyboard for a scene
reconstruction, Will is doodling; procrastinating.

He dozes off to sleep.

SCENE TWO

It is the next day. William is waiting aimlessly by the train


station, thinking about how he could be filming his film
reconstruction today.

WILLIAM
Man, I wish I had Arash to help me
film today...

Arash emerges from the crowd across the street, waving.

ARASH
HEYYY!

Arash crosses the street to William. William's face lights


up.

WILLIAM
Hey man, how you doing? I didn't
expect to see you here.

ARASH
I'm good Will, it's good to see you.

WILLIAM
I was literally just thinking about
you! Where did you come from?

ARASH
Haha just cruisin' bro.

WILLIAM
(Confused)
That's great that your here, do you
think you could help me out? I have to
film something for school.

ARASH
Sure man! What do you have to film?

WILLIAM
Ah, it's a scene reconstruction, I
think... I'm not really sure my mind
is really foggy right now.

ARASH
Ah, sick, where do you wanna go film
it?

WILLIAM
How about Kyoto Gardens? It's a cool
place to film, only problem is that it
is 30 mins away...

ARASH
Let's see it?

William pulls it up on his phone, showing it to Arash.

ARASH
Yeah, let's go!

SCENE THREE

Cut to Arash and William at the park.

WILLIAM
Whoa. How did we get here so fast?

ARASH
We just cut that bit out of the film.

WILLIAM
...

ARASH
Anyway, do you know what you want
scene you want to recreate?

WILLIAM
I really don't know yet.

ARASH
Alright, I called my friend to help us
out.

William's clone enters the scene.

WILLIAM
What the-

WILLIAM'S CLONE
I'm William, I'm here to help you with
your work-

WILLIAM
Who the heck are you!

Pointing at the clone.

WILLIAM'S CLONE
I-I just told yo- listen, listen, I'm
here to help with your-

Points at William

WILLIAM
How dare you point at me?

WILLIAM'S CLONE
You pointed first!

WILLIAM
It's rude to point!

They begin arguing

ARASH
Which one pointed first?

Julio appears.

JULIO
William, obviously.

William storms off frustrated.

SCENE FOUR

William is wandering in the park when faint music starts


playing in the environment.

WILLIAM
Where's that coming from?!

A magical shape forms near the waterfall, William chases the


object, gets close to it, touches it and immediately wakes
up. He has flashbacks of his dream and looks around his room,
realising that his sub-conscious was feeding in his waking
world to his dream world.
